Hannah Arnold: All set for Miss International 2022

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) fetes an exclusive send-off for Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold at the Monet Ballroom 2 of Novotel Manila Araneta City earlier today.

The gathering showered Arnold with love and support from her Binibini sisters, members of the press, and family and friends as she suits up for the 60th Miss International pageant at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Japan. A special message from BPCI Chairperson Stella Marquez-Araneta was also relayed to Arnold during the event.

During the send-off, Hannah thanked her fans and supporters, and expressed hope for support as she vies for the country’s 7th Miss International crown.

The 2022 edition of Miss International celebrates the pageant’s 60th anniversary with the campaign #BeautiesForSDGs. It will highlight 75 beautiful contestants from around the world as they help promote the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. The campaign aims to immerse Miss International candidates in spreading awareness, as well as actively taking part in SDGs initiatives in their own country or region.

Arnold, a forensic scientist from Masbate, is an ambassador of the country’s Department of Science and Technology. She is an advocate of science and education, and helps provide reading and writing materials to children in far-flung towns in the country. And recently, she joined the Academy of Rock to join its feeding program initiative and teach food management and production.
She is an HIV awareness advocate and a long-time partner of Love Yourself PH, a community of volunteers that provides free HIV testing, counseling, treatment, and life coaching.

Three Binibining Pilipinas 2022 queens primed to compete in international pageants

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) held an exclusive send-off program for its three reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens at the Monet Ballroom 3 of Novotel Manila Araneta City on Monday, September 19.

Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Gabrielle Camille Basiano, Binibining Pilipinas Globe Chelsea Fernandez, and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Roberta Tamondong were feted with this celebration as they are just weeks before their flight to their respective international pageants.

The gathering brought together friends, family, and pageant media in a show of support for our country’s latest representatives. During the send-off, the queens thanked their fans and supporters, and asked for continued support as they try to bring honor to the country internationally.

Basiano, Eastern Samar’s pride, will be the first to compete at the Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant in Sharm El Sheik in Egypt on October 14 (October 15 in Manila). She aims to follow the footsteps of reigning Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Obenita through a back-to-back win for the country.

Fernandez, the Tacloban beauty, follows suit as she will compete at The Miss Globe pageant in Tirana, Albania on October 15 (October 16 in Manila). She also aims for a back-to-back win for the country after Maureen Montagne clinched the Miss Globe title in 2021.

Hailing from Laguna, Tamondong will vie for the Miss Grand International crown on October 25 in Bali, Indonesia. She aims to bring home the very first MGI crown for the Philippines.

The send-off program was also attended by Binibining Pilipinas International Nicole Borromeo, Binibining Pilipinas 1st runner-up Herlene Budol and Binibining Pilipinas 2nd runner-up Stacey Gabriel who expressed their message of support to their queen sisters. A message from BPCI Chairperson Stella Araneta also relayed to the queens during the program.

Yesterday’s Sashing Ceremony for the new titleholders of Mister International Philippines was also like a coming-out event for your blogger after more than a month of appointment as the organization’s Director for Communications. We are just so happy that the support given by quad-media overflowed inside the Monet Ballroom of Novotel Manila Araneta City.

The 40 gorgeous candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2022 made the competition more intense as they slay the runway during the press presentation at the Novotel Manila Araneta City on July 5.

Stunning in swimsuits by Justine Aliman and shoes by Jojo Bragais, the candidates charmed the viewers with their fierce stage presence. Their confident struts on the lit LED stage were accompanied by music provided by DJ Tom Taus. A special performance by PPOP act 4th Impact gave an electrifying touch to the show.

Among the show’s audience is a judging panel that consists of Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) and executives of Binibining Pilipinas 2022 sponsors. The event also released a teaser of the brand-new Binibining Pilipinas theme song sang by the PPOP Kings, SB19.

Hosted by Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio, and Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold, the Press Presentation highlighted the diverse beauty of Filipinas. This year’s exciting roster of candidates consists of outstanding students and graduates, artists, sports and fashion enthusiasts, celebrities, and working professionals who excel in their respective fields.

With less than a month left before the finals, the ladies still have a busy schedule ahead. They will have to showcase their exquisite national costumes in a show on July 16, and participate in the highly anticipated Parade of Beauties on July 23.

And finally, the best of the best will shine bright during the Grand Coronation Night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 31, to be telecast LIVE on TV5, A2Z, The Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, iWantTFC and the Binibining Pilipinas Official YouTube channel.

Mister International Philippines 2022 Media Launch

In what could be considered as a step-up for the Mister International franchise in the country, Mister International Philippines was launched at the Monet Ballroom 3 of Novotel Manila Araneta City with the contract signing between President/National Director Atty. Manuel F. Deldio and reigning titleholder Trinh Van Bao of Vietnam.

The now-dedicated national pageant – which advocates for male empowerment through sports and wellness – promises to have a wholistic approach to the personality development of its official candidates. A mentoring program will be started in the fields of speech, drama and entrepreneurship. The organizers promise that each participant will evolve into brand-new versions of themselves long after the finals is over.

Okada Manila will be the venue of the Finals on June 27. Prior to that, various pre-pageant activities will take place, including the exciting out-of-town preliminaries.

Also present during the launch are Marketing Manager Motherj Samonte, Pageant Director Makoy Manlapaz and Spokesperson Arvin Maceda. Previous titleholders Jose Anmer Paredes of Venezuela and Seung Hwan Lee of Korea lent their presence, along with former Mister International Philippines Levin Arguelles.

At The 6th Manila of Novotel Manila Araneta City, the official Sendoff for Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Alexandra Panlilio was held in front of invited members of the mainstream and pageant media, including a live broadcast from Facebook.

Samantha is looking 100% ready for the competition. She is all set to depart for Phuket, Thailand early next week and promises to fight to the max and continue the winning streak of Cindy Obeñita and Maureen Montagne,

Shanon Tampon: A dark horse for Binibining Pilipinas 2021

Shanon during the Pre-Pageant Swimsuit Presentation of Binibining Pilipinas 2021

Yesterday, I had an intimate lunch at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Podium with Binibini Shanon Tampon and her co-handlers – power couple Paul Izon Reyes and Jam Aquino of ProMedia and UltraLife. The purpose of the meeting was to give the Caloocan beauty some extra coaching and a firmer mindset as the homestretch of Binibining Pilipinas 2021 approaches.

You see, the lockin of the candidates will start on Monday, July 5 – a week-long stay at Novotel Manila Araneta City in view of the rehearsals and final assessments of the 34 Binibinis before the winners are crowned on July 11. And during this period, it is a must to maintain the proper disposition. Winning is the objective, but desperation is never an option. There needs to be a wholistic focus on the entire challenge. And this lady has really gone to great lengths in transforming herself into a potential winner. She may not be figuring out consistently in the early predictions of different pageant sites. But after the Swimsuit Presentation, she received encouraging feedbacks that gave her the positive momentum to keep on fighting.

During my interview with Shanon

I personally feel that Shanon could be a dark horse who can rise when you least expect it. Her immediate goal is make the Top 12, from where she will give her best to finish in the upper tier of the dozen. Rumors are floating that – aside from the four titles at stake – a 5th surprise crown is likely to be revealed on Grand Coronation Night. I really hope so. This is such a strong batch of Binibinis to choose winners from.
