By walking for Designer Sherri Hill in New York Fashion Week, Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray has accomplished something big considering her status as a contestant for Miss Universe 2018. Previously, we have seen the titleholders themselves – like Pia Wurtzbach, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Olivia Culpo – do the runway for named designers after they have won the big crown.
But instead of reading too much into her participation, let us be happy that she got the break which comes on the heels of yesterday’s blog about Kelsey Merritt getting booked as one of the angels in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018.

Never in her wildest dreams did Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach imagine that she would walk the runways of New York Fashion Week, let alone be friends with some of the noted international designers who regularly participate in the big event. She has been ushered in to a world only a small handful could actually experience first-hand. And just so you know, Queen P has been confirmed by my friends at Aces & Queens that she will indeed be crowning her successor as Miss Universe Philippines 2016 come April 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, barring any sudden changes in her schedule as directed by the Miss Universe Organization. 😉

Here now are images of our very own Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as she blazed the runway for Designer Carmen Marc Valvo and Macy’s Go Red for Women in Day 1 of New York Fashion Week.
Queen P is looking absolutely like a Goddess here. And there’s no denying that she was one of the real stand-outs in the said show.

Pia will walk for Macy’s Go Red for Women at 8:00PM EST
Today in New York City at 8:00PM EST (or around 8:00AM Friday morning in Manila), the Macy’s Go Red for Women event during the New York Fashion Week will stream live while the runways light up in flames for the hottest red fashion you will see this year. What makes it even special is the fact that Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach will be one of the models. So this is going to be good!
