The Miss Globe 2017 Do Tran Nganh of Vietnam
According to my reliable source, the owners of The Miss Globe Pageant Ltd. are in the thick of negotiations for Vietnam to be the host country of the 2018 edition where our reigning Bb. Pilipinas Globe Michele Gumabao will represent the Philippines. It makes sense considering that last year’s winner is Vietnamese beauty Do Tran Khan Nganh (left photo
) who won in Tirana, Albania with our very own Nelda Ibe as 1st Runner-Up.
If talks reach a fruitful conclusion, then Michele will have the advantage of having only a short air travel to her pageant mission. And this also means that support for her can be easily assembled with the reasonable airfare to Vietnam allowing more followers to book a flight going there.
Will update you on this, and the pageant destinations of our other Queens soon.
Prior to the actual National Costume Presentation of Bb. Pilipinas 2018, the forty (40) Binibinis walked the stage in Jag Jeans and showed their fiercer and sexier side while showing off their curves in the latest collection of the denim brand. Reigning titleholders Rachel Peters, Mariel de Leon, Chanel Olive Thomas, Elizabeth Clenci, Nelda Ibe and Katarina Rodriguez led the group. Here are some photos from the said segment of the fashion show held last Saturday night.
Tomorrow afternoon, the Store Tour of the Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Official Candidates will happen in select establishments at Araneta Center starting at 2pm. Their first stop will be Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen at Ali Mall before heading straight to the Taco Bell at the Cyber Park beside Novotel.
This will be another chance to meet the ladies and – hopefully – get quick photo ops with them.
See you there!

Last year, KF Tarlac brought us #PilotBeautyQueen Nelda Ibe who eventually won the Bb. Pilipinas Globe crown and went on to place 1st Runner-Up in The Miss Globe held in Tirana, Albania. This time around, the same group prepared an International Flight Attendant who goes by the name of Maria Samantha Celis.
Sam is no stranger to beauty pageants, especially in her province of Tarlac where she held the titles of Miss Tarlac State University 2009, Miss Teen Tarlac City 2010, Miss Tarlac City 2013 and Mutya ng Lalawigan ng Tarlac 2014. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Far Eastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism Management. These achievements helped a lot in clinching her first job as FA in a local airline company before moving up to her current one for Saudia Airlines – something she passionately enjoys being an avid traveler.
In the public speaking department, she also had her share of the limelight in the past after having represented her university in various nationwide Academic Extemporaneous Speaking contests.
Sam is a brainy 24 year-old who stands 5’6.5” and measures 34-25-35. She will submit her Bb. Pilipinas 2018 application tomorrow – January 6 – along with some of the other #KF2018 beauties.
Aside from the Triple Send-Off for Bb. Pilipinas 2017 Queens Rachel Peters, Chanel Olive Thomas and Katarina Rodriguez, it was also a Double Homecoming Presscon for The Miss Globe 2017 1st Runner-Up Nelda Ibe and Miss Grand International 2017 Elizabeth Clenci that made the entire event more meaningful for all members of the Press who attended.
Our departing ladies are all eager to prove their worth in the international pageant arena, especially that pressure is mounting on their anticipated successes abroad. Instead of feeling the weight on theor shoulders, the motivation is coming from the performances of everyone ahead of them. Let us now watch videos of the well-wishes given by the three departing Queens to each other.
The Miss Globe 2017 1st Runner-Up Nelda Ibe returns home from Tirana, Albania after a successful pageant mission.
See you in the send-off later, Dhot!
The Miss Globe 2017 Do Tran Khanh Ngan of Vietnam
Miss Vietnam and Miss Philippines – last two women standing for The Miss Globe 2017
Asian power was at its finest in Tirana, Albania when Miss Vietnam Do Tran Khanh Ngan won The Miss Globe 2017 with Miss Philippines Nelda Ibe getting 1st Runner-Up.
Miss Siberia Elena Latypova is 2nd Runner-Up. Miss Albania Alessia Çoku is 3rd Runner-Up. Miss Capo Verde Simone Heijligers is 4th Runner-Up.
While the transmission was not at its best, kudos to the organizers for staging the pageant creditably well.
Kudos as well to Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe for bagging 1st Runner-Up honors, plus National Costume Maker Frederick Berches and Evening Gown Designer Paolo Blanco for making her look more radiant onstage during the Finals. Jojo Bragais provided the heels all throughout the competition.
We are proud of you, our #PilotBeautyQueen!
