So you might ask how these ladies perform such physically strenuous tasks during the Miss World Philippines 2018 #SportsChallenge and still look beautiful?
The answer is simple. When you’re aspiring to become a Beauty Queen (or are already titleholders like Katarina Rodriguez and Kim De Guzman), you can’t afford to look less than one in any public activity.
Now it’s down to the task of the assigned photographer to make sure that he/she makes those perfect shots in motion.

Miss World Philippines 2018 Official Candidate #12 Neesha Murjani
“Hello! I’m Namrata Neesha Murjani and I’m 25 years old. I am part indian part filipino but I was born and raised in Cebu City. I graduated BS Biology in Cebu Doctors’ University but didn’t proceed to medicine. Instead I went to follow my parents footsteps in the business industry, helping out in the family business to owning my own franchise of a resturant and cafe. I also work as a Marketing Communication at Megaworld at the Fort. Sometimes when I have free time, I do a lot of outdoor activities like hiking or island hopping – something most Cebuanos love to do. I do enjoy travelling— exploring and discovering new things in every place I visit and making new memories.
As I experience new things, I find myself conducting personality development and inspirational talks to different groups which I personally enjoy doing. I like inspiring and motivating people to never give up and keep moving forward because just like in the pageant industry, we never give up; we keep moving forward and most importantly we inspire.
Ever since I was young, my family would always give back to the community however we can. I brought that with me even up to this day and that’s why my advocacy is for the street children. I make sure that every year I get to help out may it be through feeding, outreach activities and even a small party for them to enjoy. As the saying goes by Judy Blume, “our fingerprints don’t fade from the lives we touch” To be part of Miss World Philippines, will give me a chance to touch more lives, to see more smiles and to give hope. I can’t help everyone but I can help as many as I can.”

Aces & Queens has three (3) Cebuana bets for Bb. Pilipinas 2018. First is Wynonah Buot. Then there is returnee Neesha Murjani. And the third is our subject for this entry – Rhina Aileen K. Arcilla.
Rhona graduated with a Bachelor degree in Tourism Management with Academic Honors from the Cebu Institute of Technology where she resigned as the prettiest last 2015. She is a consistent Dean’s lister while going through the demands of being a working student to support her school needs. She enjoys going to the beach and meeting people from every walk of life. Most importantly, she can be a real charmer in person.
Will she make it as one of this year’s Binibinis?

The #AQ2018 Presentation Show was held at the Mayuree 2 Ballroom of Dusit Thani Manila hours earlier where members of the camp’s Class of 2018 were presented to selected members of the media and invited guests. But before I give you some juicy details, let me clarify first that the more than twenty beauties presented are being fielded not only in Bb. Pilipinas 2018, but also Miss World Philippines and – possibly – Mutya ng Pilipinas. And there are two (2) more ladies – relative thoroughbreds in my opinion – have not been introduced yet. I was told that these duo will beat the deadline set by BPCI. If you want clues, check the final sentence in this entry.
Anyways, the usual suspects were formally introduced. I cannot name all of them yet (especially the newbies) so as to protect their identities for now. Not all of them will make it to the list of Binibinis for 2018, and as I have said, some of them are being prepared for MWP2018 instead.
The familiar names and faces so far are Volleyball superstar and former PBB Housemate Michele Gumabao, Miss Bicolandia 2017 Kayesha Clauden Chua, MWP2016 4th Princess Sandra Lemonon, Bb. Niyogyugan 2016 & Reyna ng Aliwan 2017 2nd Runner-Up Ahtisa Manalo, runway model Annalita Vizcarra, MWP2017 2nd Princess Zara Carbonell, Cebuana top model Wynonah Buot, 2015’s Binibini 33 Neesha Murjani, last year’s Binibini 28 Juliana Kapeundl plus Binibini 38 Anna Patricia Asturias.
Now how about the two heavyweights I mentioned above? Well, let’s just say that they could spell a good difference in the competition the minute they formally file their respective applications. One is a crossover national titleholder, while the other lady is the daughter of a former Bb. Pilipinas titleholder. Call it Alcoholics Anonymous meets Fifty Shades Freed. (Get it?) 😉

Back in Cebu, she dabbles in event and cable TV hosting. Her gift of gab can be easily seen by the way she talks to people and big crowds. She can be the true charmer.
Sans make-up, platform heels and cocktail dress, though, Maria is just your typical girl next door who is as sweet to her parents as she is to her dear friends like Miss Cebu 2013 Neesha Murjani who took part in Bb. Pilipinas 2015. I wonder what important pageant tips they share among themselves during lull moments. Care to guess?

And then you gaze your eyes on the exotic lass standing amidst a scenic view of nature on the left image. You must have already seen her somewhere, but still unsure if she is the one running inside your head.
Yes, she was already in a pageant, having placed 2nd Runner-Up to Neesha Murjani during Miss Cebu 2013, aside from taking part in Reyna ng Aliwan 2014. And 2015 could be the year she may have to make that fateful decision to take the giant leap to do the nationals – sign up for Mutya ng Pilipinas, wait a little more for Miss World Philippines (where her dusky type might be preferred this year) or exercise that extra stretch of patience for Bb. Pilipinas 2016?
Whatever she ends up doing, it will be something she has her heart for.

Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Official Candidate Neesha Murjani is now a full-pledged graduate – diploma, toga, march and all!
Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Official Candidate Namrata Neesha Murjani is feeling pleased and fulfilled nowadays. While she is already considered a B.S. Biology graduate of Cebu Doctors Hospital during the Summer of 2014, it was only last April 26, 2015 that she made her graduation march in full regalia.
“I was a summer grad last year and because of that I wasn’t able to join the April 2014 graduates in marching. I felt incomplete receiving my diploma knowing that I didn’t wear a toga (YES, that means a lot to me.) Today, I took the chance to join the 2015 graduates and I finally feel complete! It feels so good to walk that aisle, wearing a toga and see my parents smiling. College was definitely a roller coaster ride. You know that kind of ride where you don’t want to ride again.”
Congratulations, Neesha! While your Bb. Pilipinas bid was not met with the results you originally aimed for, there are still greater career opportunities heading your way. It may not be in the form of a beauty title, but the rewards will be just as meaningful, I’m sure. 😉
