Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2016 Jennifer Hammond and Designer Nat Manilag
When Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2016 Jennifer Hammond departs for Miss Intercontinental 2016 in Colombo, Sri Lanka by late next month, she will have inside her luggage the National Costume and Evening Gown that Designer Nat Manilag will create exclusively for his dear friend.
The photo above shows the two discussing the color choices and designs that will be finalized. This is subject for the approval of BPCI, but I know that they are already aware of the specifications to be followed.
As we all know by now that Jen is like a muse for the said designer, the decision was mutual in having each other’s back for the pageant mission abroad. I love the aesthetics of Nat so we should be ready to see two exciting masterpieces that our Queen will effortlessly showcase in the Sri Lankan capital.

Can’t wait to see the end results! 😉
True to the promise of BPCI, Filipino designers were given the spotlight during the finals last Sunday night. And prior to that, the National Costume Competition also showcased their creativity. So allow me to feature a photo blog of fifteen of the evening gowns, including the new titleholders, runners-up and the rest of the Binibinis in the Top 15.

During this trip to Canada of Miss Globe 2015 Ann Colis, she made sure that her luggage is full of creations from Filipino designers. If that’s not enough, all her shoes are from Casadei, a Bench Global Brand.

And when Ann attended the Stephan Caras Fall/Winter 2016 Collection for Toronto Fashion Week, she slipped into a black Anthony Ramirez original which showed her fierce aura complete with killer Casadei heels.

During her visit to the Toronto Courts to witness a live hearing and learn more about the Canadian Justice System, she sported a Nat Manilag suit that brought out her dreams of becomimg a Lawyer someday.

Avel Bacudio, on the other hand, was highlighted during the Welcome Dinner of the Fil-Canadian Community at the Toula Restaurant inside Westin Harbour Castle. It was a very exciting event for Ann in her pink number. She was surrounded by Consuls from Burundi and Albania plus a number of important Canadian Officials.
And it won’t stop there. Ann is headed to Montreal soon. She will definitely be wearing more Filipino designs – proudly all the time! 🙂
