Last night, Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters co-hosted the Carrier AC-XP 2018 event along with Mr. World Philippines 2012 Andrew Wolff at the Sunlife Ampitheater, Maybank Performing Arts Center.

Mr. World Philippines 2012/13 and Mr. World 2012/13 1st Runner-Up Andrew Wolff during his media presentation as rep to the male pageant two years ago. Ms. Cory Quirino (left) and Arnold Vegafria flank him.
Just like his successor, Andrew was also presented to the media a very short time before departing for the host city – Kent, England. The appointment was kept hush-hush. But when his name was revealed, everyone gave out shouts of joy and optimism that our entry had all the right ingredients to win and be called the World’s Most Desirable Man back in 2012.

Andrew was so close to getting Mr. World Sports Challenge then after topping the Sprints with Colombia (left) and Martinique giving him some stiff competition.
Out of all the key segments in the competition, Andrew felt that he had the least contribution in the Talent auditions. Neither can he sing nor dance to even make it past the first round. And so, he vowed to go all-out in the succeeding events where his strength and agility as a rugby player will be utilized to the max.
And our guy did not disappoint. Challenge after energy-draining challenge, he gave it his all and never fell off the top tier of performers in almost every team and individual events. Up to the very end, he made sure his level of sportsmanship never waned. And once the dust settled, he was so close to winning Mr. World Sports Challenge by placing 1st in both Soccer and Sprint.Outside the battlefield, he also became quite a good buddy to many fellow candidates. In all photoshoots, TV guestings, day trips and return excursions, he always had the friendly smile and brotherly aura the other guys appreciated. So it no longer came as a surprise that he became one of the top picks to shine on finals night.

An almost-there victory on pageant night for our bet (l-r) 2nd Runner-Up Leo Delaney of Ireland, host Myleene Klass, Mr. World 2012 Francisco Escobar Parra of Colombia, host Kamal Ibrahim and 1st Runner-Up Andrew Wolff of the Philippines.

Andrew Wolff’s performance during Mr. World 2012 is something that should not be forgotten easily. Our current rep, John Spainhour, may be constantly compared to him, and that can’t be helped because of plain recency. Let’s hope that the memories made two years back will serve as strong inspirations to do better than good in Torquay. 🙂
If Mr. World Philippines 2012 Andrew Wolff is always feeling upbeat nowadays, it’s because he is having the time of his life representing the country in Mr. World 2012. Although their home base in England is in Kent, the whole group went to London to spend time touring the city and watching a musical on the West End.
Andrew is very positive about the physical challenges of the competition. While he may be dead beat after all the initial activities, he is still raring to prove his worth in all the sports-related tasks amidst the cold weather of the place.
Let’s keep on supporting him by clicking and liking his FB Mr. World Philippines Page, just like we all did during the time of Miss World Philippines 2012 Queenie Rehman in Ordos, China. 🙂

Let’s gather support for our bet. He promises to give more than 100% of his efforts to bring honor to the country. 🙂
Call it a whirlwind turn of events for Mr. World Philippines 2012 Andrew Wolff. Just last month, he was living a normal life in Manila, playing rugby and training for the national team scheduled to compete in the 2013 Rugby World Cup. All of that changed when MWP Director Cory Quirino confirmed to him the news of his appointment as Official Philippine Representative to Mr. World 2012-2013 scheduled in London on November 24. He admits to feeling daunted and having second thoughts at first. But after getting a clear idea of what’s expected of him in the competition, he dutifully packed his luggage and set off to the UK like a true athlete playing for flag and his countrymen.
When the organizers asked him to write down in his FB multimedia page how he describes his stay in Kent so far, he simply stated “Cold and Happy”. And that pretty much sums up the guise of Andrew’s disposition, i.e., he may feel the discomfort of the countryside’s freezing weather, but still maintains a positive outlook on whatever is in store for him as Mr. World Philippines in the tough days ahead. And he should be. The extreme assault and sports challenges alone are enough to break down the weak-willed and force the relatively less able-bodied in the group to give up. And this is where he is expected to shine. Being used to the bruises and physicality of contact sport, he can treat the activity just like he would an ordinary rugby match between two aggressive teams.
By now, he has already given up on the Talent Challenge after the Top 12 finalists of the event were announced without his name included. He’s the least bit disappointed, though. He knows where he is in his best elements and is pumped up to excel in the more physically demanding aspects of the contest.
So good luck, Andrew! Do us proud in the other events all the way to the finals! 😉

During the Presscon of Mr. World Philippines 2012, Andrew Wolff was flanked by MWP Director Cory Quirino (L) and Miss World 2011 First Princess Gwen Ruais.
Now it can be told. Philippine Volcanoes team member Andrew James Wolff is our appointed representative to Mr. World 2012 in London, England. The once-controversial celebrity-athlete has definitely turned his life around, thanks in huge part to his active participation as one of the country’s top rugby player and help in bringing honor to the Philippines in the sport. In fact, he will be playing for the national team in the 2013 Rugby World Cup.
This time, the 6’2″ Andrew will bring his dashing good looks and fine physique to excellent use as Mr. World Philippines 2012. I’ve always thought of him as a qualified bet for the UK-based male pageant, being half-British and all. I’m pretty sure his documents are now in order (right before the presscon was conducted) and just waiting to take the flight to Kent, London this coming Friday. Finals night will be on November 24, same day as the conclusion of Miss Earth 2012.
Best of luck, Andrew! 😀
