Back in 2011, Abbygale Monderin tried her luck in Mr. & Ms. Eco-Tourism Philippines/Mossimo Bikini Summit. Although she lost to eventual winner Janelle Olafsson, the experience gained was enough to raise her level of confidence.
The last time I heard, at least two beauty camps were rumored to be interested in signing her up for Bb. Pilipinas 2013. No confirmation yet on which group she will be fielded as, but as Filipinos would fondly say in the vernacular, “ang haba ng buhok niya, pinag-aagawan ng mga kampo!” (her hair must be so long, camps are fighting over her!”)
I’m not yet sure why all the fuss, but she has this sweet face of a young girl – with a Daisy Reyes-vibe showing in some pics. No more, no less so far.
Kim de Guzman...will she defy the odds and take a shot at Binibini this year?
I'm not that of a prude, but this FHM shot of Kim de Guzman might be frowned at by BPCI.
In 2011, Kim de Guzman experienced two significant milestones in her life. First, she participated in the Mr. & Ms. Eco-Tourism Philippines/Mossimo Bikini Summit. She failed to capture the distaff title but somehow, she parlayed the exposure to her inclusion as one of the housemates in Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited of ABS-CBN. This became her ticket to a fair degree of popularity among the voting masses of the reality show.
Last year, though, she took on a bold step by posing for the September 2012 issue of FHM Magazine – quite a daring move if she is still entertaining thoughts of joining the bigger and more strict Bb. Pilipinas. Should she go the beauty pageant route once more, then she had better have solid presence and potentials to make up for the unsolicited potshots she could get for the aforementioned sexy pictorial.
What do you think of her, dear readers? 😉

Two mixed breeds came out victorious and landed themselves the titles of Mr. & Ms. Eco-Tourism Philippines The Mossimo Bikini Summit Edition 2011 during the competition’s finals at Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas. Kevin Donnelly, 18 and Janelle Olafson, 21 were proclaimed winners. The finals was scheduled last Saturday, but got heavily rained on way into the middle such that the announcement of winners was made the following night.
Donnelly, a Filipino-Scottish hunk by way of Australia and Olafson, a Fil-Am model and showbiz wannabe (she joined the last ediiton of GMA-7’s Starstruck but did not make it to the finalists), defeated 30 other male and female candidates to become this year’s Mossimo Bikini Summit winners. Their court includes First Runners-Up Benj Bolivar and Mira Mae Dimmerling and Second Runners-Up Martin Flores and Kim de Guzman. I’m not sure yet if there will be any international competition for the top finishers, but this event has always been a springboard to a career in film and TV just like what happened to the likes of Carlo Maceda, Jordan Herrera, Andrew Smith, John Lopez, Rachelle Ann Bustamante and Jiro Shirakawa.
Congratulations to the winners! 😉
The male and female finalists of Mr. & Ms. Eco-Tourism Philippines / The Mossimo Bikini Summit 2011 Edition will take part in a mini fashion show to be held at the 3rd Mega Summer Expo, Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall today, April 17, later in the afternoon. Catch them there!
