Pageant Scorecard 2021 for the Philippines: Better than Average

This year wasn’t the best for Philippine pageantry internationally, but not the worst either. It’s middling around the average range and pushing higher than 2019 and significantly compared to 2020. Keep in mind that I included only the competitions that I blogged about.

Kodie Macayan of the Philippines wins Mr Gay World 2020

Congratulations are in order for Mr Gay World 2020 Leonard Kodie Macayan! He now becomes our 3rd titleholder in the competition after John Raspado and Janjep Carlos.

His runners-up include Marek Piekarczyk of Poland and Vicente Miron of Mexico.

Let us hope that our next bet – Joel Rey Carcasona – will do just as well in the 2021 Virtual Edition next week.

Lenard Kodie Macayan is Mr Gay World Philippines 2020

Congratulations to the new Mr. Fahrenheit and now Mr. Gay World Philippines 2020 Lenard Kodie Macayan of Quezon City. It was practically a landslide victory for this good-looking and articulate gay man.

His court is made up of:
1st Runner-Up Eli Gonzales of Makati City
2nd Runner-Up Richard Miranda Fariñas of Cavite
3rd Runner-Up Kelvin Kai Angala of Laguna
4th Runner-Up Verge Llego of Cebu

30 year-old Kodie – who currently works as Account Manager at PSB Technology Services Inc – will represent the Philippines in this year’s Mr. Gay World to be hosted in South Africa this coming May.

Kudos to everyone involved in the successful staging, especially the National Director of Mr Gay World Philippines Wilbert Tolentino and Director Rodgil Flores.
