One of the biggest things that I miss during the entire pandemic is out-of-town pageant judging. Before the Philippines (and the world) screeched to a halt in early 2020, I was already scheduled for a string of invites to judge different local and provincial pageants. But all of that changed when the lockdown forced everything to just stop completely. God bless pageants like the Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen that still booked me for their virtual editions for 2020 and 2021.
Happily, I started returning to it last weekend when I chaired the Board of Judges for Ginoo at Binibining Candelaria 2021. And if that’s not an early Christmas gift I was hoping to get, I received an advise earlier to get ready for next month’s Miss Kuyamis 2022 in Misamis Oriental. This should be followed by another stint for Mr and Miss Teen Quezon before moving on to Mutya ng Atimonan 2022 in mid-February.
I am looking forward to doing more of this in 2022. The travel is one accompanying perk that I also missed. So happy that the different pageant organizations nationwide continue to trust me in selecting their Queens (or Kings).
