Beyond the beauty, the heels, the swimsuit, the gowns, the social personality and Q&A savvy, one component of pageantry that is just as crucial than – if not more crucial than – the rest is #attitude. It speaks volumes about how a pageant aspirant will eventually show her true colors as a potential titleholder.
I have heard of so many (horror) stories through the years. And pageant organizers have learned their lessons – the hard way most of the time.
So why am I posting about this?
Because within the next two months, we will have new sets of Queens in at least three of our biggest national beauty competitions.
Always remember this:
“Attitude is the way you look at life. It is the way you choose to see and respond to events, situations, people, and yourself. Your attitude is not something that happens to you. You choose your attitude. Your attitude is created by your thoughts, and you choose your thoughts.” – @focus3.com
Enjoy your individual journeys, ladies❣️
8 is considered a lucky number. Will it rub off on Miss World Philippines 2021 Candidate No. 8 Emmanuelle Vera? Her beauty speaks volumes. Is she ready for the world?

When a little girl plays pretend makeup, it’s all for kiddie fun.
But when national pageant candidates shoot for a real makeup brand like Teviant, it’s all for serious fun.
Here are photos of some of the Miss World Philippines 2021 candidates for the #TeviantxMWP2021 #MissCharity Challenge.

Is that you, Dawn Zulueta?
Nope, it’s Miss World Philippines 2021 Candidate No. 36 Tracy Maureen Perez who does project different looks in her photos. But this time, she is amping it up by several notches.
I have a good feeling she will finally walk away with a crown this year.

Pleased to share with you Episode 2 of Pageantry Norms Season 5 with my guests – Miss World Philippines 2021 Official Candidates – Ambriel Pascual, Megan Deen Campbell, Anne Caress De Mesa, Angelica Famorcan and Esel Ponce.
Really had fun with them, especially Ambriel and Angelica.
The exclusive video clips below were recorded by your blogger during yesterday’s Orientation and Official Numbering of the 45 candidates at Red Hotel Philippines. There were only two of us from pageant media and one pageant photographer invited to the closed door activity.
These are just sound bites about their advocacies or reasons for joining the national pageant.

When the announcement by Miss World Philippines Organization was made hours before the reveal during the FB Virtual Press Conference of Samantha Bernardo that the Bb. Pilipinas 2021 (and Miss World Philippines 2021) Finals will take place on the same date – July 11, 2021, a lot of media people could only scratch their heads and ask why?
You see, Miss World Philippines penciled July 11 following the previous announcement by BPCI that their finals will be June 27. The former did not want to have it immediately a week after, hence, July 11.
The funny thing is that someone inside BPCI was already “sounded off” ahead of time that Miss World Philippines will happen July 11. But still…
Knowing MWPO, they definitely don’t want the unnecessary clash and would opt to likely move two weeks after. Case (almost) closed.
Yesterday was the announcement of the Official Candidates.
Today, it’s the date of the Finals Night!
Miss World Philippines 2021 will crown its new Queens on July 11, 2021.
Watch out for more updates!
P.S. Just recently, rumors floated online that Bb. Pilipinas will move its 2021 Finals again to July. Although still unconfirmed, the MWPO decided it best to announce theirs and avoid any possible clash.
There has been a strong clamor for Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla to re-join Miss World Philippines amd hopefully get the chance to win the top crown and represent us in Miss World 2021 to be held in Puerto Rico this coming December. She issued a statement on her IG account which I am posting now.
And now, a message from Cynthia Thomalla for those eagerly waiting for her to re-join Miss World Philippines:
“Posted @withregram • @thia_thomalla “The pandemic shifted our lives in ways no one imagined. Today, I’m letting go of a dream. A dream I was ready to face again. But sometimes life gives us a different path we have to embrace and celebrate.
I’m grateful to the people who have been supportive and encouraging towards the decisions that have been made. My heart is still content, happy & fulfilled. 😊
I do know, God is preparing me, us for what is to come. Keep the faith ✨”
