From the Bicol region comes Danica Theresa Sheen Dilla who is the tallest Miss World Philippines aspirant so far at a clean 5’10”. She is from Aces & Queens.
24 year-old Dhan is a Flight Attendant of Philippine Airlines who measures 34-24-36. She comes from Iriga City and is a product of the annual Miss Bicolandia where she finished in the Top 5 last 2019 when your blogger was part of the judging panel.
This Bicolana is sweet and well-spoken. And her competitive height and soulful eyes could be her biggest pluses in the national pageant.
Good luck, Dhan!

You have seen this hotelier compete as the phenomenal woman of Laguna during last year’s Miss Universe Philippines. And Jo-Ann dela Torre Flores is crossing over to Miss World Philippines where she will seek better fortune. She screened last February 3 at the Red Hotel.
Jo-Ann, 27, is giving this attempt one good try before she finally reaches the borderline age of 28. And given her previous experiences in local and national pageantry, she will use the learnings to hopefully come out more successful in the process. Her confidence is always beaming, just as a beautifully statuesque presence gives the added premium to her bid.
Good luck in MWP, Jo-Ann!
This beautiful Filipino-British lady was the one I hinted before as the former GMA Artist Center talent of GMA Network who screened for Miss World Philippines last February 3 at the Red Hotel. Stress on the word “former” because her talent management contract with GMA7 has already expired last year. She is doing this national pageant as an independent.
19 year-old Janelle Lewis took part in the latest edition of “Starstruck” – the GMA reality TV search for potential stars to be built up for their shows and teleseryes. She did not win that one, but was still signed up. Shortly after, she was able to appear in guest/supporting roles from time to time.
Except for the 5’9” Klea Pineda (who is now an afternoon teleserye headliner), I have always thought that taller girls have a harder time making it big in showbiz, owing to the fact that we have a dearth of tall actors (6’0 tall and above) to be paired with them. Janelle is 5’6” and her overall beauty and stance could be appreciated more in pageantry. Hence, the decision to screen for her first national tilt.
Let’s see what’s in store for Miss Lewis in MWP.

Here is another lady who screened for Miss World Philippines last February 4 at the Red Hotel. This time around, she did so as an independent aspirant. Having been a titleholder of the late John dela Vega’s Jewel of the Philippines pageant, she is pulling out all stops to make this potential return to the competition on her own merits. And honestly, she is exuding a more refreshing glow these days.
Jerelleen as Jewel of the Philippines for Miss United Continents 2017
Jerelleen Rodriguez already represented us in Miss United Continents in Ecuador back in 2019. And with rumors circling that Arnold Vegafria is keen on acquiring the Philippine franchise for the said beauty contest, just what are the chances of this UP Professor and Accountant doing a Christi McGarry (who represented us in Miss Intercontinental twice – first as a Mutya ng Pilipinas and then as a Bb. Pilipinas a few years after
)? I hope not. This lady is hopefully setting her sights on Miss Supranational.
Good luck in MWP, Jerelleen!
It no longer came as a surprise for your blogger when KF’s Ruffa Nava showed up for the Miss World Philippines screening last February 4 at the Red Hotel. And since you are all familiar with her stats and qualifications by now, there really is no need to dwell on those numbers and credentials anymore.
Age-wise, I reckon that this Ilongga is targeting the Miss Supranational Philippines crown. What’s more, her modelesque looks and stance could be a better fit for that competition. That is, if the organizers opt not to change their traditional tick boxes.
What I like about Ruffa is her attitude of determination. Bashers come and go, but the will to try is unstinting until she is no longer qualified to participate because of the ceiling age limit. And her down-to-earth personality will continue to help in the process.
Good luck in your return to MWP!

Here is a newbie from Aces & Queens for Miss World Philippines. And she represents the best of Milano and Batangas City all in one package.
Kim Panaligan Babao is aged 25 and stands 5’9”. She was born and raised in Milan, Italy and speaks very fluent Italian. Just a few years ago, the parents brought her back to the Philippines so she will keep the Filipino culture and values.
Pageantry-wise, her background was during the search for Miss Lobo in Batangas which she won, and where your blogger served as one of the judges. She also took part during Miss Oriental Mindoro and Miss Silka Batangas.
Her charming personality, height, nice modelesque figure and fluency in Italian will surely make her stand out as a contender for any of the MWP crowns.

Julie with her new hair style
Now here is an entry of Kagandahang Flores (KF) for Miss World Philippines. She is actually one of two ladies from Northern Samar who screened last February 4 at Red Hotel.
Julie Tarrayo is no stranger to beauty pageants. Having reigned as Miss Pintados last 2018, she went to Manila to seek greater fortune in national competitions. During Miss Bikini Philippines 2019, she made it as one of the Top 10 Finalists. And later that same year, she took part in Ambassadress of the World Philippines where she was also named a finalist.

Standing at 5’9”, Julie is aged 25. She has blossomed even more when she sported a shorter hairstyle during the screening. And by now, she has already learned a lot on how game plans in the national level of pageantry work.
Good luck, Julie!

Now here is one Aces & Queens bet for Miss World Philippines who instantly became a girl-crush of mine during the screening last February 4 at Red Hotel.
Her name is Izabella Jasmine Umali. A statuesque 24 year-old from Parañaque City, she stands 5’9” and measures 36-26-36. She is a Flight Attendant of the nation’s flag carrier.
Beauty definitely runs in her genes. Jasmine is the daughter of former model and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2nd runner-up Mary Jane Umali and Vincent Pinto, Manhunt International 1997 2nd runner-up – our first ever Top 5 placer in the international male competition.
This uber charming beauty might as well be nicknamed Miss Sunshine. With her bright smile and warm personality, she will surely endear herself to the judges and pageant fans once the actual competition starts.
Good luck in MWP, Jas!

Will Riana Agatha Pangindian get her due reward in Miss World Philippines this time around?
At 24 with measurements of 32-24-36, this 5’7” charmer from Pasig City graduated with a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education from the University of Santo Tomas.
A semifinalist in both Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and Binibining Pilipinas 2016, Riana will use her valuable experiences to win one of the crowns at stake. Add to that her natural beauty, warm personality, poise and good communication skills, she may very well be in line for a victory in 2021.
Here is a Miss World Philippines returnee courtesy of Aces & Queens.
Patricia Asha Gutierrez, 25, 5’8” with vital statistics of 35-25-36. She comes from Taguig City and is an AB Literature graduate of the De La Salle University.
Asha is currently a creative writer about to publish her authored book this year with Everythingsfind.ph. She was a candidate of the same pageant back in 2019.
This time around, she is determined to win one of the crowns. And with her beauty of face and figure, very good communication skills and determination, she just might.
