Miss World Australia 2014 Courtney Thorpe and her official pre-arrival shots for Miss World 2014
Somewhere deep in the heart of Down Under, Miss World Australia 2014 Courtney Thorpe is training hard for Miss World 2014. The 24 year-old Fashion Editor of GC Mag is not about to reveal the secret location. But I will hazard a guess that it could be Hunter Valley where the national finals was held or Melbourne perhaps. If not, then it’s still all good.
At any rate, what is clearly more important is that Courtney is not letting up in her preparations for London. She knows how heavy the pressure is on creating an indelible mark in the big competition up ahead. If her predecessor Erin Holland placed in the Top 10, she is aspiring to do better and hopefully get to the Top 5. From there, the blue crown is just a hop, skip and jump away. 😉

Courtney Thorpe, a Queensland beauty, was crowned Miss World Australia 2014 during the finals held at the Oaks Cypress Lakes in Hunter Valley. She will now represent Down Under in Miss World 2014 to be hosted in London come December. Her 1st Runner-Up is Alex Hecker, with Laura Jane getting 2nd Runner-Up honors.
Courtney is hoped to do better than her predecessor, Erin Holland, who placed in the Top 10 of Miss World 2013 and was named Miss World Oceania.
Congratulations, Courtney! 🙂
Going for the big one this coming July 27, Indèya Passfield will be.
This coming July 27 (Sunday), Miss World Australia 2014
will be elected in a crowning gala that will take place at the Oaks Cypress Lakes in Hunter Valley.
One of the hopefuls who will try to wrest the title from last year’s Erin Victoria Holland is 22 year-old Indèya Passfield from Morpeth, New South Wales. In an interview with The Maitland Mercury, she mentioned that, “…I would love to win the title, to become a role model to all young women who live in a world with social media which can be daunting and detrimental at times…I want to inspire and educate the next generation, expose unseen problems and charities which can benefit from our help.”
The classically-trained pianist is also a singer, songwriter and fashion model who took part in Australia’s The X-Factor in 2013.
Indèya Passfield is hoping to become Miss World Australia 2014.
Good luck in the finals, Indèya! 😀
She used to be known as Taylah Jessica Marsh. But for legal reasons, she has already changed her name to Indeya Taylah Passfield now.
Dayana Grageda used to be a Miss Australia Latina.
Dayana is fiery!
Relatively speaking, Miss World Australia
2013 Erin Victoria Holland would be quite a tough act to follow for fellow Aussie beauties wanting to become her immediate successor. Aside from making it to the Top 10 and placing 2nd in Talent last year in Bali, she also got into the good side of MWO Head Julia Morley and included her in a string of their non-stop round-the-world itineraries. Perhaps, her good singing voice helped a lot as well.
Indeya Taylah sizzles!
But among those who are being seriously considered to take part in and eventually take the crown of Miss World Australia
2014, there are two (2) ladies who just might have the edge against the other comers. First, there is Miss Earth Air Australia 2012 (and Rachel McAdams deadringer
) Indeya Taylah Passfield (she used to carry the name Taylah Jessica Marsh
) and Miss Earth Fire Australia 2013 (and one-time Miss Australia Latina
) Dayana Grageda.
Indeya (left) and Dayana are close friends even outside pageant events.
These two stunners will definitely be helped by their previous pageant experiences. And if they play their cards right, the chances of traveling to London come December are bright for one of them. 😉
