Some people are saying that it will be an uphill climb for Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez to reach the very top in tonight’s Miss World 2018 Finals in Sanya, China. This especially after her setbacks in the important Beauty With a Purpose and Head-to-Head Challenge segments.
I say that our Queen has done so much to bring pride to the Philippines in the competition. Whether it be recognized or not by the judges and/or the organization, it’s all up to destiny and a dash of good luck. I know that she’s still in the zone of winning (or placing well at the very least).

We all know by now that Miss Philippines Katarina Rodriguez was unable to win the Round 2 Head—To-Head Challenge for Miss World 2018. She was edged out by Miss Venezuela Veruska Ljubisaljevic. And it all boiled down to going overtime with the answers.
Katarina overspent her minute and a half and that costed her a precious demerit that allowed the Venezuelan to upend her sincere efforts to defend her now-viral BWP Advocacy.
Megan Young voted for Katarina, Stephanie went for Veruska, while Manushi went against Katarina due to going overtime.
Still, Katarina is not exactly back to Square One because there are talks that she is a strong contender for the Beauty With A Purpose Fast-Track.
At any rate, there is a new voting procedure for Miss World 2018 that will be implemented starting December 7:
New Voting Procedure
Miss World will have another round of voting that will begin at 7 pm this December 7 (Friday). The voting will last for 24 hours in time for the coronation on November 8.
For this round of voting, it is important for candidates to have robust support from other continents.
Voting will be on a per continent basis such that the country with the highest vote in each continent will get the continent’s one vote.
Each continent gets one vote in electing the next Miss World.
In other words, aside from the seated judges who each get a vote in determing Miss World 2018, the six continents will act as six additional judges each with a single vote.
Here’s the catch: Only the votes casted for the soon-to-be-determined Top 5 will be counted from the 24-hour voting window.
How exactly does this work?
When (not if) Miss Philippines Katarina Rodriguez makes the Top 5 and she scores the highest vote among the Top 5 countries in Asia, Africa, Carribean and Europe for example. She will automatically get their 1 vote each to get 4 votes on top of the votes that she will get from the judges.
Voting platforms are still: (a) Miss World Website, (b) Miss World Philippines Facebook Page, (c) Mobstar and (d) Model Power Live

In the same event, Miss World 2013 Megan Young was reunited with Miss World – Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez during the Miss World 2018 Charity Gala Dinner where it was announced that our bet topped Group 4 and entered the 2nd Round of the Head-To-Head Challenge.
Please watch the entire #BeautyWithAPurpose video featuring Miss World Philippines Katarina Rodriguez below and be touched with her project for the devastated City of Marawi.
But before you click, here are just a few sidelights that went into the filming of the same:
1) The part in the beginning where Katja is walking is ground zero of the Marawi Crisis. It is not safe until now since inside those houses and buildings are mines that still remain unexploded.
2) The church shown on Day 3 is the established fortress of ISIS which has an underground dwelling.
3) Katja wrote the script all by herself with just a few edits from Benj Gabitan because of the sheer length of her writings.
4) Katja thought of this even before winning Miss World Philippines. Last year, she already started raising funds from Katarina’s Closet and Bazaar which was donated to “Save The Children for Marawi”.
Below is the video of the Group 4 Head-to-Head Challenge for Miss World 2018 with Miss Philippines Katarina Rodriguez and the delegates from Equatorial Guinea, Iceland, Senegal, Norway and Guyana.
Now here is how you can help Katja advance to Round 2 in this segment of the competition.
Remember, November 28 (6pm Sanya time) is the deadline for voting through the four ways stated above.
Today, November 20, is the schedule of the Miss World 2018 Top Model Challenge in Sanya, China. We know how Miss World Philippines Katarina Rodgirz prepared for all the important segments of the competition. Amd this one is no exception.
