Andrea Tovar Velásquez of Colombia – smoldering sex appeal at its finest
Jealisse Andrea Tovar Velásquez is a 23 year-old model from Quibdó, Colombia who graduated college with a degree in Industrial Design and Photographic Image Production at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá. She stands 5’10” and is one of the strong pre-arrival picks by many pageant sites for the 65th Miss Universe.
Andrea holds the record for the longest reign of a Miss Colombia – more than sixteen months in total.
“Being a queen is a gift for life. Here your intellect, your spirit and your history are favored. It is also a very important platform and proof of this is that year after year we see how beautiful and intelligent women embark on new professional paths and is an opportunity that is presented to a very few,” commented Andrea on this stage of her life.

Is she a diva in disguise or an all-around friendly beauty to be with?
Andrea possesses the charisma, the well-sculpted body and outspoken personality that will make her an easy standout during next month’s competition. Does she have all that it takes to become the successor of Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and make up for the controversial twist of fate that befell her compatriot Ariadna Gutierrez during Miss Universe 2015?
How does Andrea appeal to you, dear readers? Watch her interview on Colombian TV now.

Miss Universe-Colombia 2009/10 Natalia Navarro
When Luz Marina Zuluaga became the first and only Colombian (so far) to win the Miss Universe crown in 1958, she brought so much pride and joy to her country that the government declared her tax-free for life. More than five decades have passed and still, no other representative from Colombia has duplicated the effort. But in fairness, they have always come very very close to winning that Colombia has been tagged as the perennial 1st Runner-Up but never the winner. From 1992-1994 alone, Paola Turbay Gomez, Paula Betancourt, and Carolina Gomez held hands with Michelle McLean, Dayanara Torres and Sushmita Sen only to hear the latters’ names announced as Miss Universe and not theirs.
Without heavy make-up on, Natalia looks like your typical sweet-looking Latina-next-door.
Fast forward to 2010. Natalia Navarro is Colombia’s bet in Las Vegas for another shot at the Miss Universe crown. Will the Bolivar native and university student make a bigger dent this time and go beyond a 1st Runner-Up placement? Or will she come home empty-handed after August 23?
Natalia's whistle-bait figure is sure to make heads turn in Las Vegas.
I have repeatedly blogged how heavy the competition will be for this year’s Miss Universe Pageant. Whoever ends up winning should consider herself not only the most beautiful, but also the most lucky. And at this point, Natalia can only hope for the best, just like the other ladies who will fight tooth and nail for the crown.
Good luck, Natalia! 😉
