Looking more beautiful, Janine Tugonon is.

…think of Janine Tugonon. And she will suddenly appear right on the machine’s screen (see left photo).
You see, the Miss Universe 2012 1st Runner-Up clinched a gig with Wells Fargo to appear in one of their ad photos for the Path To Credit campaign of the bank. And the image now regularly appears in all of its ATMs around the US.
I think it’s cool. And it only goes to show that she continues to get modeling jobs out there. Big or small, the important thing is that she’s eking out a living while still trying to look for her proverbial place under the sun.
Just keep us updated always, Janine!
Always keep us in mind, Janine. We like getting fresh new updates about you. 😉
What could Irene Esser be saying in this pic if she were a Tagalog or Taglish speaker?
Miss Universe 2012 2nd Runner-Up Irene Esser made an appearance during the Gala Interactiva of Miss Venezuela 2014 held last weekend. And she was captured by the camera while walking with her mouth open.
Let’s just have some good clean fun. I can no longer remember the last time I played with photo captions. If the scenario is that Irene can speak Tagalog or Taglish, what would she be saying above?
Let me start the ball rolling here.
“¡Qué difícil! Ang hirap gayahin ng cobra walk ni Janine Tugonon!” (How difficult! It’s hard to duplicate Janine Tugonon’s cobra walk!)
It’s your turn now! 😀
Miss Universe 2012 1st Runner-Up Janine Tugonon is doing good as a model in the US.
Janine (2nd from right) during one of her modeling gigs
After placing 1st Runner-Up to Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, Janine Tugonon made the quick resolve to explore all the possible career opportunities in the US waiting for her. Doors have opened after the 2nd place finish. And Designer Sherri Hill was one of those who facilitated her entry into the world of fashion modeling, followed by a string of breaks as a print/photographic model. She never got idle for long and got bookings even before she would finish one. Credit goes to her beautiful exotic face that never goes unnoticed.
Janine with her close friends in New York
It helps a lot that Janine is a smart and hardworking girl. She knows how to network and market herself to potential upcoming designers. By now, she must have already shown up in a wide assortment of go-sees and landed gigs in a good number. She is still yearning to penetrate the all-important runways during New York Fashion Week. But who knows? We might get to see her doing the ramp for one of the famous names in the industry one of these days.
Keep doing what you do best, Janine. We’re just here to herald all your future achievements there. 🙂

From the mail, I just received a message alert from YouTube. Interesting that the online channel of Bb. Pilipinas Official uploaded a 2 minute 38 seconds long video piecing together the swimsuit and evening gown presentations of Shamcey Supsup, Janine Tugonon and Ariella Arida in their respective Miss Universe participations. Most of you might have already seen a similar clip comparing the three, but this one should give us a clearer segue of the three ladies. Or it could also be a way of preparing local pageant fans on how Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa could be trained. Will her style be a combination of all three? 😉
What are the chances of a back-to-back win for USA?
The sisterhood of back-to-back country victories in the history of Miss Universe is such a lonely group with only one member, Venezuela (courtesy of Dayana Mendoza and Stefania Fernandez back in 2008 and 2009). And if we adjust a bit and include those who won and skipped only one year before winning another (Maritza Sayalero in 1979 and Irene Saez in 1981) , the member will remain the same, Venezuela.
So will Erin Brady make history by winning Miss Universe 2013 and cuddling up with Olivia Culpo as only the second back-to-back country victors of the title? I have my reasonable doubts of that even happening. And certainly not in host city Moscow. While Miss USA is most qualified to come out #1 on November 9, chances are that the judges will gaze around different continents this year. Any place except North America or the US of A for that matter. It’s going to be bad for business if Donald Trump allows something like that to happen in this edition.
And how far do you think she will place? Well, your guess is as good as mine. 😉
It's on this coming November 4, 9PM MSK
Miss Universe 2013 is introducing something new this year. It’s called “A Moment with Olivia Culpo”, a question-and-answer online activity with the reigning titleholder, much like a live chat. If there is a question or two you are itching to ask, then here’s your chance to go into Oksana Boyko mode and get her cornered.
It’s all happening in the pageant’s website this coming Monday, November 4 at 9:00PM MSK (Moscow Standard Time) or 1:00AM of November 5 for those in the Philippines.
Here’s a sample question I just might want to ask: Truthfully, what was running inside your head at that precise moment when it was only you and Janine Tugonon of the Philippines left standing before Miss Universe 2012 was announced? 😉

In varying ETAs (estimated times of arrival), the 86 (eighty-six) anticipated delegates of Miss Universe 2013 will start arriving in Moscow to begin their individual missions with one common end goal: to become the successor of Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo.
Let’s see who will grab the initial flashes of interest and who will show fierceness right from the beginning.
Of course, I’m also interested in knowing who the roommate of Miss Philippines Ariella Arida (expected to fly in early in the evening) will be. I heard that Miss USA Erin Brady will be rooming with Miss Australia Olivia Wells (just like last year in Vegas). Do they always have to be placed together?
Anyways, the level of excitement is starting to heat up! 🙂
