At the age of 26 (going 27), Gabrielle Walcott of Trinidad & Tobago is one of the oldest Miss Universe reps this year.
Gabrielle “Gabby” Walcott has just been named Miss Trinidad & Tobago-Universe 2011. At 26 (turning 27 on June 26), she is on her last year to qualify for any international beauty pageant, with Miss Universe having the highest ceiling age for a participant. And she’s no newbie in the arena. She joined Miss World 2008 where she placed 2nd Runner-Up to Ksenia Sukhinova of Russia.

How will Gabby perform in Sao Paolo? Pretty well, I reckon. She may not eke out a 2nd Miss Universe crown for her country, but I’m confident that she can easily make it to the Top 15 or Top 10. She might even do a Yendi Phillips at best and surpass her Miss World placement. But then again, I’m speculating way ahead of the competition so 15 other ladies could spoil everything for her.
Let’s wait and see. 😉
