The announced Top 10 without Angelique Manto
My take on what happened last night when all Top 18 ladies were asked to do the Evening Gown Competition even after the announcement of the Top 10 by host Xian Lim.
1. I think Angelique Manto of Pampanga should have already been part of the Top 10. But when her name wasn’t called…
2. It is possible that SGV & Co. reviewed the individual scores of the judges and may have found a glitch in the computer tally that may have led to the decision of doing a manual tallying of the scores in the Swimsuit Competition (which was the basis of who will make Top 10) instead. After doing so, the Kapampangan representative’s score must have been discovered to be high enough to be part of Top 10 but was unannounced due to the technical issue in the list printed from the main computer and handed over to the host.

3. As a result, all Top 18 ladies were asked to return for the Evening Gown Competition, perhaps to avoid any controversy. I reckon that SGV & Co. wouldn’t want a technical error go unnoticed and uncorrected.
4. From there, Angelique Manto entered the Top 5. This despite people wondering why someone who was not in the announced Top 10 even advanced to the Final Cut. She must have been in the thick of the top-tier fight all along.
I could be wrong, but this is how I see it. People must surmise why such a technical issue still happens in this day and age. But it still does. Apparently.

The three new titleholders
So who’s going where?
Aside from Michelle Marquez Dee being Miss Universe Philippines 2023, two other ladies in the Top 5 were given their crowns during a separate event at Okada Manila:
Pauline Amelinckx is now #MissSupranationalPhilippines2023.
Krishnah Gravidez is now #MissCharmPhilippines2023.
Congratulations!
