Janelle Lazo Tee is said to be gearing up for Miss World Philippines 2015

Another girl who is being buzzed as joining Miss World Philippines 2015 is Janelle Lazo Tee who was Davao City’s entry during Miss Philippines Earth 2014. As part of the Aces & Queens camp, she is said to be in deep training for the scheduled screenings next month. And right now, she is also seen doing active work for the Green Initiative which could potentially be her ‘purpose’ for the competition. And what’s this with her taking up lessons in ukulele playing. Is this is her talent contribution, perhaps?
Let’s watch out if Janelle will join the group of enlisters for MWP2015 on September 7-8, 2015. 🙂
Diana Mackey is meant to become a beauty queen. Period.
There is always something to be appreciated with pageant-joining ladies who deserve to be in the spotlight with their beautiful faces and shapely figures. Just like gorgeous Fil-New Zealand Diana Mackey who joined last summer’s Miss Philippines Earth 2015 and made it to the Top 10. Two years before that, she already represented the country in the Supermodel International competition as a 15 year-old which served as her first taste of overseas beauty assignment.
Of late, the buzz reaching my ears is that Diana may be seriously eyeing another stab at pageant glory in the nationals. And this time, I would presume that she is preparing more intensely as the next in line is Miss World Philippines 2015 which is looking for a different peg in terms of a meaningful advocacy.
So if you see her more active online nowadays, it could only mean that she is, indeed, looking at taking our favorite route again. 🙂
Do we have to wait for long to see Diana once again?
Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell
Jamie (center) during her victory as MPE2014 last year
It has been a truly eventful year for 20 year-old Jamie Herrell.
When she decided to sign up for Miss Philippines Earth 2014, this beautiful Cebuana was always expressive of her desire to win the crown, citing that it is the one title she has been targetting in her fruitful pageant career. And she did (left photo). Aside from being picked as the top favorite, she made sure of living up to the hype and giving everyone excellent performances all throughout. From that point, she steadily cruised her way to wearing the Philippine sash in Miss Earth 2014. While her road in the international competition was relatively more bumpy and stressful, she still managed to maintain her calm and composure, earned the following of many pageant fans and ultimately became the country’s only Big 4* winner last year.
Jamie remains sweet and charming inspite of the double-tiered pageant celebrity status. And now that she is nearly reaching full circle as Miss Philippines Earth 2014 with the crowning of her successor tonight, allow me to give her my heartfelt thanks for a wonderful reign. There couldn’t have been a more deserving advocate of Mother Earth, and she deserves all the blessings coming her way.
Mabuhay ka, Jamie Herrell! 😀
Let us now reminisce on her win during MPE2014 by watching the full video of last year’s finals.

By the end of the month, Jamie Herrell will be relinquishing the first of her two major titles for 2014. Miss Philippines Earth, that is. And while she will miss being the country’s top beauty for Mother Earth, there is still the bigger Miss Earth 2015 to look forward to. Here is where she will be significantly involved from planning, promotions, filming all the way to becoming a big sister to the foreign candidates.
And she’s not even 21 years of age! (that will happen on July 12)

So is Jamie ready to move on from Miss Philippines Earth? She clearly is. After all, she won’t stop being a true advocate of the environment after this month. In fact, she may have already committed herself to start some eco-tourism projects in her beloved Cebu.
Notice anything different in Jamie Herrell’s 2014 elemental court above and below?

Not a hard thing to differentiate, of course. Miss Philippines Fire 2014 Bianca Paz is no longer in the top pic. In her place, former Top 10 runner-up Bencelle Bianzon has already taken over the title.
Right at the onset, I felt that getting a 3rd Runner-Up spot won’t be a fiery (no pun intended) conclusion for Bianca. And that it was just a matter of time before she would give up on the responsibilities instead of getting tied down by the same.
In a way, I feel bad for Bianca. She gave her everything in all the national pageants she joined, only to end up getting bridesmaid status everytime. She could have already nailed a crown by now. Alas, it was not meant to be. She must have really moved on to greener (again, no pun intended) pastures where pageantry is not the main focus.
I can only wish her the best of luck in the other endeavors she is setting her sights on. 🙂

Miss Philippines Earth and Miss Earth 2014 Jamie del Rosario Herrell is enjoying whatever’s left of a long break before plunging head first into the busy weeks ahead for Miss Philippines Earth 2015. She spent part of lent with friends Monique Manuel, Debbie Garcia and Stephanie Sol at Camaya Beach in Bataan.
Starting next week till May, the pre-pageant activities will actively commence once all of this year’s Earth warriors have already been accounted for. And Jamie will be at the forefront of everything, being the reigning title holder and all.

You’ll be busy as a bee, Jamie. And by the time your national successor has been crowned, it will be just a short couple of months wait before picking up the pace again for Miss Earth 2015. 😀
Melanie-Cristine Balagtas will go for Miss Australasian 2015
Miss Australasian is the first multicultural beauty pageant established and hosted in Australia, carrying the slogan of “Distinct Beauties United As One”
Remember Melanie-Cristine Balagtas? She’s the girl from Down Under who represented the Filipino Community of Sydney during Miss Philippines Earth 2014 where she made it to the Top 10 and was officially sashed as one of the five runners-up.
This sweet and charming young woman is embarking on a new chapter in her pageant career – Miss Australasian 2015 – which seeks to find a winner who can best symbolize the beautifully diverse culture of the country, while serving as a role model to ladies of different ethnicities. If Mel clinches the victory, then she will represent Australia in the Miss United Nations 2015 Pageant.
Watch her introductory video below.

Good luck, Mel!
I want to see you do well in Miss Australasian 2015! 😉
