Next to shine for Aces & Queens in 2022:
Miss Kuyamis 2022 Annabelle Mae Tate McDonnell
She is 21, stands 5’9″, was born in the United Kingdom but grew up in Iligan City.
Belle is a 3rd year Consular and Diplomatic Affairs student at the DLSU College of St. Benilde.
She has won several beauty titles including Miss Lanao Del Norte 2019, Miss Iligan 2018 and was 2019 Miss Millenial 2nd runner-up. She was recently crowned Miss Kuyamis 2022.
Belle will be representing Misamis Oriental when she competes in her first major national pageant.

Above is a screenshot from Pageantry Norms Season 7 Episode 4 with my guests – Miss Kuyamis 2022 Annabelle Mae Tate McDonnell and her court – Jimema Tempra, Vanessa Atienza Dulay, Nycee Lampad and Vea Bautista.
The internet connection was unstable for two of them, but were still able to participate. Watch out for them in the different national pageants this 2022!
Miss Kuyamis 2022 Annabelle McDonnell who will hopefully take part in Miss Universe Philippines 2022
First Runner Up Jimena Tempra who may possibly be sent to Binibining Pilipinas 2022
2nd Runner Up Vanessa Dulay who just might be a fit for Mutya Pilipinas
3rd Runner Up Nice Lampad who I suggested for Miss World Philippines 2022
4th Runner Up Natazha Vea Bautista who might go for Miss Philippines Earth just like her older sister Nellza Bautista a few years back.

McDonnell will most likely represent the province in Miss Universe Philippines 2022 scheduled for screening next month. You will remember her as part of Miss Millennial Philippines last 2019.
And like saving the best for last, Misamis Oriental Governor Bambi Emano pulled out all the stops for the #9thKuyamisFestival. It is, after all, his last term as Governor of the beautiful province. The outstanding staging/production of Miss Kuyamis 2022 is just one of them.
Your leadership is a source of inspiration for all Misamisnons!
Mabuhay ka, Gov!
In this entry are some official photos from the Miss Kuyamis 2022 Swimsuit Competition held yesterday at Amaya View.
Congratulations to a successful pre-pageant event. Miss Kuyamis is clearly one of the most well-organized provincial pageants in the Philippines. And kudos to Jimema Tempra of Jasaan (left photo) for being declared #BestInSwimsuit.
The presence of Misamis Oriental Governor Bambi Emano made everything more special, just as the esteemed panel of judges that included Miss Intercontinental Cindy Obeñita, Binibini Araneta City Francesca Taruc, former Mr International Philippines Gil Wagas, Designer Odelon Simpao and PCOL Ranel Valones of the Misamis Oriental PPO.
Aside from the reigning titleholder Dannah Tempra, four of the former winners were also in attendance – Chella Falconer, Isobel Teano, Ana Monica Tan and Berjayneth Chee – all placers in their respective national pageants. Provincial Tourism Officer Atty Jeffrey Saclot was around to make sure that the entire proceedings went as smoothly as possible.
Looking forward to the official swimsuit photos of the ladies, as well as the Finals on January 13 which will be hosted by actor Marco Gumabao.
One of the biggest things that I miss during the entire pandemic is out-of-town pageant judging. Before the Philippines (and the world) screeched to a halt in early 2020, I was already scheduled for a string of invites to judge different local and provincial pageants. But all of that changed when the lockdown forced everything to just stop completely. God bless pageants like the Aliwan Fiesta Digital Queen that still booked me for their virtual editions for 2020 and 2021.
Happily, I started returning to it last weekend when I chaired the Board of Judges for Ginoo at Binibining Candelaria 2021. And if that’s not an early Christmas gift I was hoping to get, I received an advise earlier to get ready for next month’s Miss Kuyamis 2022 in Misamis Oriental. This should be followed by another stint for Mr and Miss Teen Quezon before moving on to Mutya ng Atimonan 2022 in mid-February.
I am looking forward to doing more of this in 2022. The travel is one accompanying perk that I also missed. So happy that the different pageant organizations nationwide continue to trust me in selecting their Queens (or Kings).
Given the impressive showing of Misamis Oriental beauties in both the national and international levels of pageantry this year, the roster of candidates for Miss Kuyamis 2022 has definitely leveled up very nicely.
After all, they have big shoes to fill, such as those of:
Miss Intercontinental and Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2021 Cindy Obeñita
Miss Philippines Earth 2021 Runner-Up and Top 10 placer Katheryn Tan Guipetacio
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Top 16 finisher Chella Grace Falconer
Miss World Philippines 2021 Top 24 and Sports Challenge winner Dannah Joy R. Tempra
Here now are my early favorites for the competition:
#Naawan – Annabelle Mae Tate McDonnell (sounds familiar?)
#Villanueva – Natazha Vea Bautista (younger sister of Miss Philippines Fire 2017 Nellza Bautista)
#Jasaan – Jimema Tempra (younger sister of the reigning Miss Kuyamis Dannah Tempra)
#Sucbongcogon – Nice Lampad
#Manticao – Vanessa Dulay
#Magsaysay – Roshana May Berdelao
#GingoogCity – Shiryl Galupo
#Laguindingan – Erika Marey Actub
#Alubijid – Crystal Fabre
#Medina – Jhaella Marie Celmar Pague
Let’s see how things will shape up in the weeks to come before the finals on January 13, 2021
