Our newest pride in international pageantry is back home!
Newly-crowned Miss Eco International 2022 Kathleen Paton was honored during a homecoming victory Press Conference hosted by the Miss World Philippines Organization at the Grand Ballroom 1 of Okada Manila.
A very sumptuous lunch buffet was served inside the venue before the actual presscon started. And it was joy and positivity all throughout as Kathleen answered a wide assortment of questions from the invited members of the media. One thing remains clear – she is in Cloud 9 for having brought pride to the country by winning our second crown in the said competition after Thia Thomalla back in 2018.
Below are photos from the said event.
Big congratulations to Kathleen Paton who was just crowned Miss Eco International 2022!
We are so proud of you!
Her runners-up include the delegates from Belgium, USA, Spain and Malaysia in that order.
This is our second victory in the competition.

Earlier today at the Grand Ballroom of B Hotel Quezon City, a triple send-off was hosted by the MWPO for three of its Queens. Firstly, Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez was given her “second” Presscon for the 70th Miss World after the postponement of its Finals last December. She will be returning to Puerto Rico later next week. On the other hand, Miss Eco Philippines Kathleen Paton (who is leaving tonight for Cairo) and Miss Environment International Michelle Arceo are all set to conquer their respective pageant assignments in Egypt and India this month. All three ladies are ready to bring pride to the country.
Furthermore, the organization’s auspicious rebranding comes close on the heels of its recent announcement for the search for this year’s batch of aspiring queens, with final screening slated for April 19 and coronation night on May 29.
The “Exceptionally Empowered Filipina” brand campaign also coincides with the celebration of International Women’s Month this March.
Happy Hearts’ Day to all!
It has definitely been a love-filled afternoon in yesterday’s episode of Pageantry Norms Season 7 – just right for today’s celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Thank you for keeping me company, Kathleen Paton and Kirk Bondad!
Please continue to support Kathleen in her upcoming pageant stint in Egypt for Miss Eco International.
#NextAttraction on Pageantry Norms:
There is something to be said about “shooting two birds with one stone”, much like a small but sweet victory on my part.
This coming Sunday, February 13 at 4pm, join me in the special Pre-Valentine’s Day Episode of #PageantryNorms where Miss Eco Philippines 2021 Kathleen Paton will take the spotlight as she talks about her upcoming pageant stint in Egypt for Miss Eco International 2022.
Watch us segue from crown to hearts as she will be joined by the special someone in her life right now – Kirk Bondad – where we’ll delve into the subject of love and relationship and celebrating Valentine’s Day in (hopefully) the tail-end of the pandemic.
