She looks like someone you know, but the semblance stops with this photo
You'd think that she is only your typical exotic girl
One look at the photo above and you would quickly assume that girl to be our Miss Philippines during the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant. But no, she is definitely not MJ Lastimosa.
And then you gaze your eyes on the exotic lass standing amidst a scenic view of nature on the left image. You must have already seen her somewhere, but still unsure if she is the one running inside your head.
Yes, she was already in a pageant, having placed 2nd Runner-Up to Neesha Murjani during Miss Cebu 2013, aside from taking part in Reyna ng Aliwan 2014. And 2015 could be the year she may have to make that fateful decision to take the giant leap to do the nationals – sign up for Mutya ng Pilipinas, wait a little more for Miss World Philippines (where her dusky type might be preferred this year) or exercise that extra stretch of patience for Bb. Pilipinas 2016?
Whatever she ends up doing, it will be something she has her heart for.
By the way, her name is Maria Gigante.
And this Cebuana has both the looks and the smarts to go national
Neesha one year after her reign.
Neesha's latest photo
Half-Indian, half-Filipina Namrata Neesha Lucero Murjani could be a Venus Raj-of-sorts in the making sans the 22-inch waistline for the timebeing. The reigning Miss Cebu who will turn over her crown to a new successor come January 15 is reportedly Manila-bound after completing all her duties as such. Your blogger was also told that she has already approached one of the beauty camps for possible training. So what remains to be asked is whether she will go for Binibining Pilipinas, Miss World Philippines or Miss Philippines Earth.
What do you think, dear readers? 🙂
In the meantime, here are excerpts from an interesting article made by Jonas Panerio about Neesha.
What does your name mean?
Neesha means polite and Namrata means honest.
Your dad gave you that name?
Actually, in Indian culture, we have a priest that suggests that our name will start with this letter when we are born.
Tell us about your lineage.
I was born and raised here and my dad has adapted to the culture here in Cebu. He’s a devotee of the Sto. Nino. He doesn’t miss any of the festivals and he’s also Catholic. Our life really is here in Cebu.

Maria Gigante: after a 3rd place finish in Miss Cebu 2013, should she set her sights on BBP2013?
With a big bold surname like Gigante (or giant), Maria should find no difficulty achieving quick recall. But then again, we’re not after such. This pretty Cebuana recently took part in Miss Cebu 2013 where she finished 2nd Runner-Up to crowned half-Indian Namrata Murjani. Not bad for a pageant newbie. So do you think she is ready to go national?
I know that it’s a bit too soon to plunge into another beauty contest, and a major one at that. But should this lady give it some serious thought, she has a good outside chance of outshining the early entrants…even some of her fellow Cebuanas. Thoughts, dear readers? 🙂
Maria has an exotic quality that’s very Pinay!
