Pierre Anther Infante was an experienced radio discjockey before claiming the Miss Cebu crown back in 2012. She was 21 then and a graduate of Southwestern University. Pushing 23 soon, will she become another Cebuana pride joining the queue to submit an application in the upcoming deadline of Bb. Pilipinas 2014? Her fellow candidate in the regionals – Herlie Kim Artugue – was already in last year’s 50th edition. Perhaps, it’s high time that she takes a shot. 😉

And yet, one more Cebuana queued at the Bb. Pilipinas offices to file her application for the 50th Anniversary of the pageant. Herlie Kim Artugue is a Registered Nurse who participated and became 4th Runner-Up in Miss Cebu 2012. Prior to that, she took part in Miss Mandaue, Miss Lapu-Lapu and Miss University of San Carlos (where she represented the College of Nursing). She also reigned as Miss Philippines Student Nurses Association. Whew! That’s a lot of contests she joined. But then again, she is one pretty young woman who should show off her beautiful face to everyone. At 5’6″, though, she may still be middling in height. Nevertheless, let’s see if she would be convincing enough come screening time. 😉
From the Queen City of the South comes a 20-year old nurse who goes by the name of Jonnie Rose Louise Wee. She recently participated in Miss Cebu 2012 where she landed 3rd Runner-Up during the finals. Here’s my question, should the girl try her luck with Bb. Pilipinas 2012? You see, her height of 5’6″ still leaves much to be desired. But her clean, beautiful face, smart stance and charming personal style should make up for whatever vertical shortcomings she may have.
All things being equal, this alluring lady – a nurse by profession – has as much as chance as the next aspirant to be an official candidate of the pageant. Agree or not? 😉
The one dozen Cebuanas vying for the title of Miss Cebu 2012 were recently presented to the press at the Waterfront Hotel. One of them will be crowned by last year’s winner Mia Zeeba Ali Faridoon.
The twelve contenders are Michelle Angelique A. Tan, Ann Caryl S. Gotingco, Mary Hazel Haruka T. Watabe, Rachel Chloe T. Palang, Cynthina Lois D. Tac-an, Pierre Anther G. Infante, Ella Beverly P. Sarmago, Herle Kim T. Artugue, April Ann Claire R. White, Jonnie Rose Louise R. Wee, Shannen R. Abarquez, and Lesly Anne P. Fernandez.
Coronation night is scheduled on January 11, 2012 at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Hotel. The finals will be held in conjunction with Cebu’s annual Sinulog Festival.
