I heard it from the grapevine that Miss Bicolandia 2012 Yvethe Marie Santiago will finally give Bb. Pilipinas 2014 a try. This 5’8″ Accountancy graduate from Bicol University who was also 1st Runner-Up in Mutya ng Magayon 2011 was initially rumored to screen for last summer’s edition of the national pageant. It seems, however, that she is more keen on waiting another year before taking the big pageant plunge.
Now is the time for the 34-24-35 stunner from the Bicol Region to shine. Does she meet your standards, dear readers? 🙂
Yvette Chantal Mildenberger: Bb. Pilipinas 2013 after Miss World University 2010
All the way from Legazpi City is a Fil-German lass who, I was told, will be fielded in Bb. Pilipinas 2013 by Aces & Queens. Anyways, this 5’6″ Bicolana is no pageant greenhorn. Aside from wearing the Philippine sash during the World Miss University 2010, she is proud to have accumulated the following honors: Mutya ng Ibalong’09 2nd runner up, Mutya ng Magayon’10 2nd runner up, Mutya ng Tabak’10, Miss Kaogma’11 and Miss Bicolandia’12 1st runner up. Not bad for her young age of 20. At the same time, she busied herself with Tourism and Travel Management studies at Aquinas University.
At the moment, Yvette Chantal is deep into training and polishing for the national pageant screenings. Do you think that she is a worthy contender for one of the spots? 😉
Miss Bicolandia 2012 Yvethe Marie Santiago
Yvethe Marie Santiago represented our country abroad before she even got the chance to join and win Miss Bicolandia 2012. Last 2010, she wore the Philippine sash in Korea when she took part in that year’s Miss World University. Not the type who would bask in pageant glamour when her Accountancy studies at Bicol University were left pending, she immediately returned to the province to resume the same. She is looking at graduating Cum Laude next year. And that is where the question lies. Is she interested in joining Bb. Pilipinas 2013? She can easily enlist and continue the good track record of the Bicol region in the national finals. But then again, she will need to review for and take the CPA Board Examinations months after her graduation. And since she values academics more than anything else, it would be safe to assume that her target would be Bb. Pilipinas 2014 instead.
But is time on her side? Age-wise, it is for this 19 year-old. But so many new faces keep mushrooming every year that the luster of her recent Miss Bicolandia victory might have already gone awash by then. Still, she has the looks, height and brains to breeze through a Bb. Pilipinas candidacy. Let’s see if the interest in Yvethe remains solid 18 months from now. 😉
