A wasted Miss Kosovo

This is sad news for Miss Kosovo

One of the most beautiful pre-arrival faces in Miss Universe 2013 has already lost the competition even before she could take the flight to Moscow.

Mirjeta Shala, Miss Universe Kosovo 2013, won’t be participating in the pageant after all. Host Russia does not recognize Kosovo as an independent. Hence, their delegate will not be able to enter Moscow.

This is sad. Mirjeta has the biggest chance of making Europe win the Miss Universe crown ever since Oxana Fedorova (who was eventually stripped of the title) in 2002.

Do I smell boycotts from other reps in that region? Miss Albania Kristina Bakiu already withdrew from the competition. 😦

She’s all of 19 years with an enviable height of 1.83m. And Mirjeta Shala will now be joining the long list of strong European delegates for Miss Universe 2013.

The lady from Vučitrn is actually an Albanian by way of Kosovo. She makes a living from doing print and runway modeling. And given her attention-grabbing facial features and entrancing presence, I’m getting more and more convinced that she will arrive in Moscow a favorite of most everyone.

And did I even mention that Donald Trump will definitely warm up to this Albanian Kosovar faster than you can say the right pronunciation of her hometown (it is Vushtrri and not Vu-ci-tern)?

Remember the name and the face of Mirjeta Shala. I sure will. 😉
