Last night, Charice’s first-ever TV concert titled “Home for Valentine’s” was shown on GMA-7. If you missed it, then here’s the chance to watch the whole thing again. The 90-minute special showcased our Pinoy pride at her best. She was just a world-class performer!
Charice’s guest performers were Ogie Alcasid, Michael V., Elmo Magalona and Rachelle Ann Go. But kudos goes to our pint-sized international superstar because she belted all the songs non-stop. One standing ovation just ain’t enough because she sang one difficult song after another with much aplomb and perfection. And boy, has she transformed to a very good entertainer, complete with spiels that carry her through like a real trouper.
Watch and be amazed!
Happy Valentine’s Day! 😉
Many thanks to tmwtwlitepci for these videos of last night’s TV concert of Charice:
The Songbird and the Songwriter tie the knot today, December 22.
Heading into wedded bliss, Ogie & Regine are.
Today, December 22, marks a milestone in the lives of Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez – two of the Philippines’ finest and most popular singers – as they seal their undying love for each other in a grand wedding to be held at The Peak, Terrazas de Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Batangas.
It was the proverbial long and winding road for the two lovers before reaching this point in their lives. Ogie was married to former Miss Australia Michelle van Eimeren with whom he has two lovely daughters – Leila and Sarah, while Regine – while still single – remained relatively unattached (save for a few short-lived romances in the past). It was only within the year when the annulment of Ogie’s & Michelle’s marriage was granted and that paved the way for the romance to bloom in the open.
Hailed as the Philippines’ Wedding of the Year – or of the decade for some – the entourage includes individuals very close to the couple’s hearts. President Noynoy Aquino will be one of the groomsmen together with fellow singers Janno Gibbs & Dingdong Avanzado and close buddy/comedian Michael V., while Megastar Sharon Cuneta will be one of the ninangs alongside GMA-7 bigwig Wilma Galvante, Regal Head Lily Monteverde, Amparito Lhuillier and beauty magnate Vicki Belo. The ninongs include Manny Pangilinan, GMA-7 Head Atty. Felipe Gozon, Orly Ilacad, Michel Lhuillier and singer Jose Mari Chan. Jaya’s daughter, Sabriya, will be one of the flower girls, while the vow sponsors are George and John – Ogie & Regine’s pet dogs. Regine’s Maid of Honor is Ogie’s daughter Leila van Eimeren-Alcasid with the Best Man being Ogie’s brother, Antonio.
Want to watch the whole ceremony but are not invited to the same? Then you can catch the exclusive coverage of GMA-7 this coming December 26 on SNBO (around 9:30pm).
Congratulations to Ogie and Regine!!! 😉
In late March this year, GMA-7 premiered its’ latest innovation of a show. “Pepito Manaloto” is tagged as a reality-comedy program which blurs the lines between fiction and non-fiction while delivering a plot that comes close to the heart of the Pinoy TV audience.
Brainchild of top comedian Michael V., it tells the story of a down-on-his-luck poor man (Pepito Manaloto) who spent his last P20 (how he got hold of the bill is a story in itself) on a lotto ticket and had a 360 degree turn by winning P700 million in the same. The series will detail – in intelligent humor – what happens to Pepito, his wife, child and best friend – together with the individuals who want to take advantage of his big win.
Take a look at a portion of the first episode.

I got hooked ever since the show premiered. All the characters were outstanding especially Michael V. as Pepito Manaloto and the genius find of Ronnie Henares as Tom Diones – the comic villain who will do everything to derail Pepito’s good fortune.
Other members of the cast are Manilyn Reynes, Carmina Villarroel, Freddie Webb, Bayani Agbayani, John Feir, Mosang, Janna Dominguez and Joshua Pineda.
Check it out. It is one of the most refreshing local comedies I’ve seen in many many years. 😉
Pepito Manaloto airs every Sunday night at 7:00pm on GMA-7.
