Miss Universe 1973 Margarita “Margie” Moran is currently the President of Ballet Philippines. And since the dance company is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and 50th Season this year, a collaboration with world-renowned Fashionable Designer Michael Cinco was set in motion.
In this blog entry are two of her photos taken inside the CCP (Cultural Center of the Philippines) where she is so elegantly dressed in a black creation of the said designer. She still looks as gloriously beautiful as the day she won our country’s second Miss Universe crown in Athens, Greece.
Do watch the video below which promotes the 50th Season of Ballet Philippines.

Applause for all of them!
I don’t normally recommend movies to watch, but this one is just too good to pass up on.
Was able to catch “Crazy Rich Asians” yesterday and boy, am I glad I did because this is the kind of feel-good film I crave for. All.The.Time.
Constance Wu and Henry Golding make a delightful couple onscreen, but it is the role of Gemma Chan I aspire to identify with the most. Don’t ask me why just yet. I just love her “Astrid” character.
And the part of Kris Aquino? She is definitely not an extra. It was more like a special appearance that made her look like the definitive #CrazyRichAsian royalty as Princess Intan. I love it that Michael Cinco dressed her up in that fabulous yellow gown – a true “color of joy” in a movie so pleasurable to spend 2 hours and 10 minutes in. And there’s nothing to feel guilty about it either.
P.S. Don’t leave your seats immediately after the end credits start rolling in. ‘Nuff said haha
Listen now to the opening track of the movie based on the bestselling Kevin Kwan novel that sets the tone to an altogether wonderful movie experience!
When Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai walked the red carpet during the 71st Festival du Cannes in an original butterfly gown by Michael Cinco, the camera flashes and all did not stop – literally every step of the way. The 3-meter train alone can leave any spectator breatless.
And mind you, this is not the first time that the Indian beauty icon proudly wore a creation of Cinco. The two of them have created a perfect team-up, I reckon.

You want something juicy to talk about? Now this one is a safe blind item because – after all – negotiations did not prosper so it’s just something to make wild guesses about.
Who is this Binibini among the present forty (40) who was originally scheduled to be dressed up by the Impalpable Michael Cinco in the competition? At first, the mere thought of this lady wearing his creation/s would be so intimidating to other designers or even the other candidates as it will give that kind of advantage that can be considerably hard to match in terms of media mileage and popularity. Somehow, the lit-fire was doused just at the right moment. Perhaps, the risk on both wearer and the Designer can be weighty – more on the latter in my opinion.
Do not ask me clues on who the Binibini is because my lips are permanently sealed on this one. Just enjoy the discussions.
Now since we are in the subject of Michael Cinco, do watch out for the fashion show that will be this year’s most anticipated as he will be joined by Francis Libiran, Amato Furne, Ezra Santos and Cary Santiago in a grand event aptly titled “World Class” in celebration of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel’s 20th Anniversary. It will be held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom on October 6. 😉
Is that really Maxine Medina on the left wearing a Michael Cinco? Look again , and gaze on the right photo.
You have to hand it to some pageant fans overflowing with love and adoration for Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina. Whoever did the head-switching photos above came up with a really seamless transfer.
For the information of many, the original photo (see below) was taken from the Couturissimo Fashion Show of Dubai-based Filipino Designer Michael Cinco held in Paris just recently. And with the divinely inspiring gown, a fee nips and tucks here and there did the trick of making it look like Maxine was the one who walked the runway. Clever? I got fooled initially. But my contact in the fashion industry immediately furnished me the right image.
No harm done. Just having fun, I guess. At least, we know what’s real and what’s reel. 🙂
