If you still haven’t gotten hold of the Metro Magazine #metrobodyissue2018, then do yourself a favor and grab one now. Aside from Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters, you will see a host of other beautiful bodies that will keep you glued on each glossy page of the same.
This month on the Metro Channel (on YouTube), you can catch Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach in her web travel program called “Pia’s Postcards” or Pia’s Trip in a Minute. This is where you will see our Queen during her different travels here in the Philippines and abroad.
No. These are not the pre-arrival photos of Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters. At least not just yet. Fashion photographer Gee Plamenco Jr. takes credit for the shots used for the September 2017 issue of Metro Magazine where a corresponding article titled “Road to Beauty” by Kate Paras accompanied the beautiful images of our bet to the 66th Miss Universe.
It goes without saying that new pictorials are musts to continuously drum up support for Rachel. We know that our Southeast Asian neighbors are stepping up the game at this point with their respective entries. But while they are channeling a somewhat pan-continental look, we in the Philippines have moved forward and settled quite nicely with a relatively more subdued aura that could set the trend for a new season of universal beauties. There is simplicity in the shots here and it should serve the purpose well in terms of dictating the rules of the game instead of merely following suit. Your updated impressions on Rachel of the Philippines, dear readers?
Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters is all set to invade the cover of Metro Magazine. And as part of the BTS videos that will accompany the drumming up of its online media presence, below is a brief video featuring her answering Miss Universe final Q&A questions of titleholders past.
Give me your impressions afterwards, dear readers.
Nichole Manalo & Nicole Cordoves for Metro Magazine (Photo credit: Kench Genato)
Except for the letter “H” in their respective names, you really don’t see glaring differences between Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2016 Nichole Manalo and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves. Both are hot, as well as having the heart to represent the country to the best of their abilities abroad. You can also describe their individual aura as hypnotic.
So beyond the “H” in their first names, what could spell the difference between the two? Perhaps, one has the stronger halo over the other? You see, Nichole Manalo will be going for a (more challenging) back-to-back win in her quest for the Miss Globe 2016 crown, while Nicole Cordoves will be looking at nailing the first-ever Miss Grand International victory for the Philippines. Between the two missions, the probability of exacting an anticipated pageant glory is higher for the latter. Of course, we will always welcome #1 finishes for both.
In the vernacular now, “ano ang hula nyo?” (what is your prediction?).

Metro Mag's June 2015 has Georgina Wilson and Solenn Heussaff as the other cover girls for this special issue.
If you still don’t have the June 2015 issue of Metro Magazine, then make sure you grab a copy now. You’ll be in for a double whammy of sorts. Aside from the beauty feature on our Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens – Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Janicel Lubina, Christi Lynn McGarry, Rogelie Catacutan and Ann Colis – the cover girl (at least one of the three in this special fashion issue) is Fil-American Kelsey Merritt who is being buzzed about as possibly joining Bb. Pilipinas 2016 under the Aces & Queens camp. Of course, it’s still too early to tell if she is indeed dead serious about making that move. But this early, it should fan the flames of excitement among pageant fans and followers who never cease to check out on all the potential joiners in the nationals.
Fil-American Kelsey Merritt on the cover of Metro Magazine June 2015 ish
By the way, this issue is a two-cover special (with besties Georgina Wilson and Solenn Heussaff as the other glossy front-liners), but I suggest that you specifically pick out the one with Kelsey (above photo) in that very furry shot. 😉
P.S. Below is a short vid of Kelsey showing some BTS of her shoot for Abby Jocson last April, 2015.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
