It will be a red-hot day on the red carpet leading to the Maynila Ballroom @ The Manila Hotel when the Official Contestants of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 are presented to members of the Press in an event that will unite the initial qualifiers from earlier screenings with the representatives of the Accredited Partners from different provinces and highly-urbanized cities in the country.
This Friday, February 14, and Valentine’s Day at that, they will all be revealed as one. The search for the #PhenomenalWoman continues!
PS The Red Carpet Presentation is strictly by invitation.

In an uppity formal event that is full of male glamour in pageantry, the finals night of Mr. Republic of the Philippines 2015 culminated at the Maynila Ballroom of The Manila Hotel with the selection of three (3) handsome gentlemen who will represent the country in an equal number of international male modeling competitions abroad.
Announced as winners last night were Archie Severino as Mr. Worldwide Philippines 2015, Ian Barrett as Mr. Model of the World Philippines International/WCOPA 2015 and Wilfred Placencia Jr. as Mr. Runway Model of the World Philippines 2015.
The three new titleholders also had three (3) runners-up each. First Runners-Up for the three are Carl Lagaña, Vincent Loga and Benedict Tan. 2nd Runners-Up are Marc Paulo Noces, Allain de Ocampo and Ronald Kim Legaspi. 3rd Runners-Up are John Raphael Camitan, Dennis Keliag and John Ver Sabangan.
Mission-wise, Archie will go to Orlando, Florida for Mr. Worldwide 2015, while Ian will travel to Long Beach, California for the Model of the World International 2015 at WCOPA. Wilfred, the third winner, will be the host delegate for Runway Model of the World International 2015 happening in the Philippines by October.
Congratulations to all the winners! 😀
Tonight at the Maynila Ballroom of The Manila Hotel, Mr. Republic of the Philippines 2015 will culminate in a grand pageant that will select three (3) winners who will represent the country in an equal number of international male modeling competitions abroad – Mr. Worldwide 2015, Mr. Model of the World WCOPA 2015 and Mr. Runway Model of the World 2015. I present to you now the nine (9) gentlemen who made it to my personal list of potential top finishers.
After sizing up all the Twenty-four (24) contenders, I have managed to trim down the list to include the following individuals with catch-phrases I came up with to describe each:
Candidate #1 Allain de Ocampo – The Cutie I.T. expert from Bulacan
Candidate #8 Dennis Keliag – The Singing Policeman from La Union
Candidate #12 Marc Paulo Noces – The Italian-Speaking Pinoy Student from Rome
Candidate #13 Archie Severino – The Seafaring Ramp Model from Binangonan
Candidate #14 Julius Buenafe – The Hunk with a Killer Smile from Quezon City
Candidate #18 Jon Jovi Lasay – The Boy-Next-Door from Laguna
Candidate #19 John Ver Sabangan – The “Iskolar ng Bayan” from Zambales
Candidate #21 Jerome Santos – The DJ and Comedian’s Son from Quezon City
Candidate #23 Wilfred Placencia Jr. – The “Global” Pride of Dumaguete City
From among the nine, my bets would be Archie Severino, Julius Buenafe and Wilfredo Placencia Jr for the titles.
The three (3) titleholders will receive PhP500,000.00 worth of Prizes each plus all-expense paid trips to their international competitions, while the 1st and 2nd Runners-Up for each title will get PhP 100,000.00 and PhP 50,000.00 worth of Prizes – a total of nine (9) lucky contestants to be named as part of the winning circle.
