Me and MWP2012 1st Princess Ross Misa
During my post-birthday lunch for employees at the office last Monday, I got a surprise visit from MWP2012 1st Princess Mary Anne Ross Misa who joined us for the simple buffet brought in by our regular caterer.
Ross and I spent a good amount of time talking about a variety of subject matters, including the ongoing Miss World Philippines and her tentative plans for next year. It was more like sisterly bonding that stretched till way after the food was demolished by everyone at work.
Notes from our conversation:
– She is now happy with the batch of MWP2013. Back during the pre-final screenings at Solaire, she had reservations with the low turnout/quality of joiners, but was pleasantly surprised by the set of ladies presented to the Press last July 31.
– Although she prefers not to share her final favorites, the names of two particularly special candidates came out of her mouth (my lips are still sealed, though).
– She is supposed to re-join MWP this year, but had an understandable change of heart at the last minute.
– She was sounded off on possibly getting appointed as the Philippine bet to Miss United Continent 2013 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The negotiations did not prosper, though.
– She is contemplating hard on which national pageant to join in 2014. That will be her last hurrah, and it’s between Bb. Pilipinas 2014 or Miss Philippines Earth for now.
– She is still keen on wearing the country’s sash abroad. If she doesn’t get it by way of pageants, a slightly different avenue of representation is being seriously considered.
The girl is a great big bundle of joy to make chika with. She is frank but very pleasant. Plus, she is still gorgeous and remains to be one of the true-blue barefoot 5’11” beauty candidates we have around.
Good luck in all your future plans, Ross! 😉
