Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens Yvethe Santiago and Bianca Guidotti enjoy their vacation in sunny Singapore
Yvethe and Bianca in Universal Studios Singapore
Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Santiago are taking a short break from their pageant duties. My good friend Sheila (who is also one of the original fairy Godmothers of Bianca
) arranged for both beauties to take a well-deserved vacation in sunny Singapore. For the past few days, they have been doing the usual touristy itinerary of visitors to the Lion City – going to Universal Studios and Night Safari while enjoying all the delish hawker food at Bugis Street. And they are having a real good time indeed.
Also, Bianca was able to reunite with Miss Singapore International 2014 Vanessa Sim who was her roommate during the competition in Tokyo last November. And you can see in the photo grid below that they had so much fun updating each other.

Bianca and Yvethe are still in Singapore right now. So if you are working there or also visiting and you see two beautiful ladies who look like them walking along Orchard Road or shopping at Takashimaya or enjoying the infinity pool atop Marina Bay Sands, then it must really be our Bb. Pilipinas Queens in the flesh! 😉

Last night, Aces & Queens threw a simple despedida dinner for Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti, four (4) days before her Official Send-Off by BPCI at Araneta’s Balay.
By Saturday, our Queen will be flying to Tokyo, Japan to start her journey for a back-to-back victory and a 6th Miss International crown – two objectives that may look impossible for some, but quite achievable for most.
These days are so busy for Bianca, but she still keeps the pressure at bay. After all, she wants to look at her most beautiful when she arrives in the Land of the Rising Sun. 😉

Will Bianca's wish of following Bea Rose in this group come true?
Practicing her eyebrows, Bianca is.
In less than a week from now, Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti will be arriving in Tokyo fully pumped-up to go for her pageant mission with a sincere smile, a heart of gold, a warm disposition and a wealth of conversational Nihongo in memory that should bring her closer to the Japanese people.
By the time she opens her mouth and tests her ability to speak to the locals, Bianca will unleash her “Konnichiwa, Arigato Gozaimasu and Kombanwa” with a dash of charm only a woman of true loving and caring substance can offer.
A confidence check on our girl will show that she has the right balance of niceties, conformity and aggression to show to everyone that she means serious business in wresting a back-to-back win for the Philippines in Miss International 2014. I can still remember our chat where she jokingly but in an oddly serious tone said that she has already collected all her annual allocated wishes for that one special gift – a pearl-encrusted Mikimoto crown that she intends to give back in gratitude to all the Filipinos who supported and cheered her on every step of the way.
I love you, Marianne. You are the younger beauty queen sister I never had, the tall Bb. Pilipinas niece I might never get the chance of raising and guiding to pageantry and the pure unadulterated celebrity-friend I discovered serendipitously.
Tōkyō de saikō no kōun!
Best of luck in Tokyo! 😀
First off, the video of the TV guesting of Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago and Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti on ANC Headstart this morning can already be seen below. Thanks to Pageant KEENOPh for taking the time to upload the whole clip on YouTube.
Both ladies looked really good during the interview with host Karen Davila. And they answered all the questions with confidence and clarity.

One part that stood out for me, though, was when Karen asked Bea Rose how she prepared and why she won last year’s Miss International crown. The latter went about explaining that she did everything by the books, like knowing and emulating the kind of women the Japanese people love among many other strategies. And she rattled adjectives like soft, gentle, caring, sweet, lady-like. To this, the former quickly responded with something like “but really you’re not?” That witty remark from the host floored me a bit.
Go watch it now and find out Bianca’s planned speech on why she wants to win the title. Then return here to give your two cents! 😉
Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago
At exactly 1:11 into the video below, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago gathered enough guts to reveal on nationwide TV her dismay and frustration over her reign. Citing that she was not given the permission to start and move forward with planned charities, she could only bow her head in disappointment. And while there was no mention of which specific organization she is directing her complaints at, it could be the Japan-based ICA (International Cultural Association)
being allegedly hinted since it has control over her activities and appearances.
In my opinion, BPCI can mediate but only to a certain extent.
“I wanted to do more but I couldn’t,” said Bea to reporter Mario Dumaual.

My hope is that Bea’s public declaration of dismay won’t put unnecessary strain in her relationship with the people behind Miss International.
I would have wished Miss International 2013 doing the TV patrol interview after her reign ends on November 11. But then again, it has already been aired all over the country and around the world via YouTube and TFC.
Your thoughts, dear readers? 😉

In just barely three weeks from now, Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti will get her formal send-off. And anent to my original post
about her being the first Binibini to compete abroad, it looks to be happening with the postponement of Miss Intercontinental 2014 to a tentatively-set December 6 sked.
Our Queen will need to be in Tokyo, Japan by October 25 for a fate-deciding eighteen (18) day stay that will answer the question if she can achieve a rare back-to-back win in Miss International.

But for now, our Bianca still needs to go broke with all her gym trainings and Nihongo lessons to wrap up the finishing touches of her preparations for the competition. In the recent People Asia Women of Style & Substance Awards, she was interviewed on the subject matter of the awarding rites, plus the journey ahead to the Mikimoto crown. Watch the video below.

Knowing Marianne personally, I know that she is fully immersed into the mission she will be heading to. Everytime we get to chat, her replies may be stated in half-jest. But the seriousness and sincerity are definitely intact.
Trite as it may sound, she will be in it to win it.
Mikimoto or bust. 😀
Do you recognize Bianca Guidotti above? It’s her Birthday today!

“Parabéns pra você, Nesta data querida. Muitas felicidades, Muitos anos de vida.”

Translation to English:
Congratulations to you, On this dear date. Much Happiness, Many years of Life
Our dear Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti is turning a year older and wiser today. And she plans to spend it in relaxing 24- hour seclusion (probably a special meal with the family plus a much-needed spa appointment). You do that, girl! 😉
Maligayang Kaarawan! Happy Birthday! Feliz Aniversário!
What could be a Queen’s birthday wish?
“Of course, the (Miss International) crown. I’m not even kidding. I’m using up all my wishes. Uutangin ko nga din muna Christmas wish ko.” (I’ll even borrow my Christmas wish in advance)
That’s my Marianne and your Bianca. She doesn’t mince with words when she wants something. Happy Birthday again, dear! 😉
