I know that there are many model searches out there. But trust Supermodel Philippines
to lead the way in churning out successful ramp, print and commercial models who go beyond local bookings and give their winners the chance to penetrate the international market. Names like Danica Magpantay, Charlene Almarvez, Charo Ronquillo, Manuela Basilio, Michelle Panemanglor and Samantha Gomez are just some of the successful products of this competition.
With this in mind, the 2015 edition of Supermodel Philippines is now open to accepting applicants. Please refer to the qualifications stated in the last image below. If you think you are a perfect fit and have the right attitude for the job, then click HERE to submit your application now.

Manuela Basilio of Wilhelmina Models
Another Filipina has now successfully conquered the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. Actually, she has already been doing the ramp in the Big Apple since last year.
Manuela Basilio, who is now part of Wilhelmina Models, has done fashion shows for the likes of Mark and Estel, Marissa Webb and ZDDZ of V Files.
The tall Pinay, who was once a runner-up in the Supermodel of the Philippines search last 2011, literally paid her dues before finally breaking into big-time modeling.
And by the looks of it, Manuela’s star is destined to shine brighter internationally. It can only get better from this point onwards.
Make us proud, girl! 😀
Step aside, Gabriela Silang. With a historical-sounding name like Manuela Basilio, even our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal would be enamored at the very least. The Supermodel of the Philippines 2011 Top 3 finisher (Samantha Gomez won the title) is seriously considering a cross-over from the world of professional modeling to the intrigue-laden territory of beauty pageants. And why not? She has the enviable height, the stage presence, the fierce aura and the catwalk savvy to stand out once pitted with beautiful ladies to her left and right.
But does she have what it takes to be re-molded into another Venus Raj or Shamcey Supsup? It all remains a mystery, unless she steps up to the plate and qualifies for a Bb. Pilipinas 2012 candidate’s slot. Saturday, February 11, will see if she indeed joins the whole thing and all. 😉
