Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti by Bruce Casanova
During last weekend’s Mobo X Bench Body: Red Charity Gala 2015 at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel, there were some very familiar faces who walked the runway for a good cause. In these images shot by my photographer-friend Bruce Casanova, you can see the likes of Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago, Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour and Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Finalist Alaiza Malinao. There were also male Supermodels such as Eian Scully, River Viiperi and Kevin Hubsmith.
The annual fashion event, organized by adorable society icon Tessa Prieto Valdes and Kaye Tinga, aims to raise funds for the Philippine Red Cross and Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation.
Enjoy the photos now! 😉

Top Designer Jojie Lloren (wearing eyeglasses) acknowledges the applause of the audience at Makati Shangri-la Hotel
While everyone was partying elsewhere last Saturday night, the Red Charity Gala of Designer Jojie Lloren was in full swing at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel. Organized by Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Kaye Tinga, it was held for the benefit of Philippine National Red Cross (now you know why the particular color was used in the name of the event) and the Assumption High School Batch of 1981 Foundation. The mild-mannered and extremely likeable creative genius presented his Haute Couture collection that is at once so different from the usually wearable designs he has been more known for. Check out some of the photos from the fashion show and do head over to Stylebible.ph to see all the pieces.

At the posh Makati Shangri-la Hotel, fifty (50) beautiful, proud and confident Filipinas were introduced as the Official Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2013 to the press. Now celebrating its Golden Anniversary, the country’s premier national pageant is riding on the wave of a spectacular three-year Top 5 streak in Miss Universe, consistent semi-final placements in Miss International and a first-time Top 5 appearance in Miss Supranational 2012.

Venue was the grandiose Rizal Ballroom A & B of the hotel where a stage was set-up to possibly mimic what could be forthcoming in the April 14 finals. Perhaps, the uppity Makati Shangri-la was convinced to finally host the ladies this year, coming from the Philippines’s excellent performance in 2012, aside from the 50th Year celebration. And what a fabulous Press Presentation-cum-National Costume Competition it was! Everybody present couldn’t agree more that this year’s batch will pose a major headache for the Board of Judges.

The ladies - in five groups of 10 - were presented in gypsy-inspired swimsuits

Yes, my dear readers, the swimsuits looked tacky and bizarre (for more than half of them). But I just tried to focus on the candidates. 😉
Anyways, here’s a video containing a few minutes of the earlier-held Press Presentation. Quality and angle are not the finest, but it’s best for the meantime.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
