The wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument in Rizal Park with the IMP and Gentlemen of the Philippines titleholders
It was a solemn activity for the VIP guests of Gentlemen of the Philippines when the scheduled wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Rizal Monument in Luneta Park yesterday morning. IMP (Indonesian Male Pageants) Organization Founder Edin Muhammad, Mister Universal Ambassador 2015 Christian Daniel Ortiz led Mister Indonesia 2015 Damian Ronny and Mister Teen Indonesia 2015 Tandi Islami in paying their respects to our National Hero in what is a traditional task usually reserved for the country’s foreign guests. Accompanied by Gentleman Kevin Fichera (who flew in all the way from Rome, Italy)
to join the grand launching of the competition, the four individuals were pride-filled in being afforded the opportunity to undergo such an important event that gave more meaning to their brief visit. 🙂

The venue for today’s NCR and GMA screening
Starting at 1:00PM today, the organizers of Miss Grand Philippines 2014 – led by its tireless head John de la Vega – will be conducting the 1st Callback Screening of applicants of Miss Grand Philippines 2014 from NCR and GMA at The Hub in Kilometer Zero Bar & Cafe in Luneta Park. It would be quite interesting to see who will show up and formalize their intentions of joining the inaugural search.
Just so you know, I spoke with a couple ladies from the House of JDV and was told that they are not allowed to join in order to avoid any conflict of interest in the proceedings. It only means that we shall get to see beauties from other camps, plus a good number from independent talent scouts and unaffiliated ones.
I will be keeping an eye on today’s activities. 😉
South Africa's Tamerin Jardine topped both the Miss Earth Trivia Challenge and Walk with ME.
Looks like South Africa’s Tamerin Jardine has been diligently doing her homework prior to arriving in Manila. She is off to a very nice start after coming out on top in the first two important activities of Miss Earth 2012. After demolishing the competition during the Trivia Challenge held at Robinson’s Dasmarinas (where USA’s Siria Bojorquez and the Philippines’ Stephany Stefanowitz placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively), she was awarded the Gold Medal (People’s Choice Award) during the Walk with ME (promotion of walking and distribution of seedlings) which took place at the Luneta Park. Silver went to Nagma Shrestha of Nepal, with Belinda Jensen of Denmark taking Bronze.
No advice from the organizers about any kind of fast-tracking, but doing well in these pre-pageant events will most likely help during crunch time when scores are already being deliberated upon for Preliminaries.
Keep it up, Tamerin! 😉
