Behold #Binibini20 Hannah Arnold of Masbate in her Bb. Pilipinas 2020 National Costume created by Louis Pangilinan.
Working hand-in-hand with designer Louis Pangilinan, this masterpiece has raised the bar in terms of Filipino craftmanship, truly an exquisite work of art!
Inspired by the Bulaklakan Festival which is held during the 1st of January, the costume was executed in ball gown style, hand-embroidered and embellished with hand-painted art in the lower part depicting the flamboyant New Year’s Day of the locals.
Recycled materials were used for the 3D flower in the waist area made by Hannah herself.
Accessorized with back dress and fan filled with massive and vibrant array of flowers and ‘Singkaban” which is a decorated bamboo arch as a representation of welcome signage of a town or city in the country.
The artisanal spirit of the costume stands for progress, dignity, and celebration.
