Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie for Lipault Paris which will provide her luggage and handcarry for Miss World 2015
Since the contestant introduction videos for Miss World 2015 are now up in the pageant’s YouTube channel
, I took specific interest first on Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie who will go for a back-to-back win in the competition where her compatriot Rolene Strauss is the reigning titleholder. It sure won’t be easy considering what we all felt last year when Valerie Weigmann was the one gunning for the same with Megan Young as the outgoing Queen. There has to be a positive halo effect right from the start for us to feel if a particular delegate could be the right one for the job or not.
And with the changes that Julia Morley will start instituting in Sanya, who really knows what she is looking for in the next potential blue crown wearer.
Let’s watch Liesl’s video now. Switch to HD for better viewing pleasure. 🙂

So how has the reign been to Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss so far? Absolutely fine, I reckon. Aside from the usual non-stop charity work, she has been traveling to different countries to visit the various BWAP (Beauty With A Purpose) Projects of the Miss World Organization and raising funds for the upkeep of the same.
Watch her latest TV interview in South Africa now as she summarizes her activities so far and the advice she wants to give to her national successor, Liesl Laurie.

And so, South Africa’s bet for both Miss Universe 2015 and Miss World 2015 has been crowned over the weekend. And she is considered a surprise winner by most.
Liesl Laurie, a 20 year old model and BCom general degree holder with the University of Johannesburg (Soweto Campus) hails from from El Dorado Park. She is the successor of Rolene Strauss who went on to win Miss World 2014 in London last December. Her two runners-up are top favorites Ntsiki Mkhize and Refilwe Mthimunye.
