Earlier, the Miss Universe Philippines Press Conference was held via Zoom with at least thirty (30) members of the pageant and entertainment media present taking turns in asking Rabiya Mateo questions about her preparations, thoughts and opinions on several matters leading to the 69th Miss Universe.
Here are some interesting details Rabiya shared:
– If it were up to her, she would like to be roomies with Adline Castelino of India so she can fill up the half of her Indian heritage with more cool learnings.
– Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was gracious enough to lend her something that will bring good luck in the competition. I know this to be a pair of earrings.
– Rabiya has only met Laura Olascuaga of Colombia and Vanessa Velasquez of El Salvador in person so far. She is excited to bond with more of her sisters soon.
– She made an appeal to pageant netizens to stop the bashing of the other candidates.
– She will enter the Miss Universe bubble on May 6.
Before we all get totally hooked up with the 69th Miss Universe fever, don’t forget to download the Miss Universe Philippines App (MUPH) – your digital front row access to all the news and updates about the biggest pageant in the country. It is very easy to use and navigate – no need to go through complex tutorials and the like.
This app was created by Choicely of Finland under the supervision of CEO Kaius Meskanen and Designer Emiisa F. Knuutinen.
MUPH is now available for download on both the Android and iOS platforms via the Google Play store and App Store, respectively.
It is already May 1 and in just over two weeks from now, the 69th Miss Universe will be crowned at the Seminole Hard Rock Auditorium in Hollywood, Florida.
Seventy-four (74) delegates will register starting May 3-4. And based on what we have seen among them prior to their arrival in the host city, I am pleased to share my Pre-Registration Picks in alphabetical order. I am arranging them this way because I would like to see how they will settle in for the first couple of days before placing them in terms of ranking or hierarchy.
Here are the twenty (20) I have high expectations on. Let’s see if they will deliver on either the hype or the kind of impact they have shown the past few weeks:
Argentina – Alina Luz Akselrad
Australia – Maria Thattil
Brazil – Julia Gama
Colombia – Laura Olascuaga
Curacao – Chantal Wiertz
Czech Republic – Klára Vavruskova
Iceland – Elisabet Hulda Snorradottir
India – Adline Castelino
Indonesia – Ayu Maulida Putri
Jamaica – Miqueal-Symone Williams
Laos – Christina Lasasimma
Mexico – Andrea Meza
Nepal – Anshika Sharma
Philippines – Rabiya Mateo
Puerto Rico – Estefania Soto Torres
Romania – Bianca Lorena Tirsin
South Africa – Natasha Joubert
Thailand – Amanda Obdam
USA – Asya Danielle Branch
Venezuela – Mariangel Villasmil
I still have at least five (5) bubbling under and they might just manage to pull down a few of the ladies above a week from now.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
