True to the promise of BPCI, Filipino designers were given the spotlight during the finals last Sunday night. And prior to that, the National Costume Competition also showcased their creativity. So allow me to feature a photo blog of fifteen of the evening gowns, including the new titleholders, runners-up and the rest of the Binibinis in the Top 15.
normannorman.com was able to cover two groups of Binibinis at Festival Mall Alabang and Robinsons Place Manila
I had Maria Gigante, Maxine Medina, Kylie Verzosa, Apriel Smith, Vina Openiano, Paula Rich Bartolome, Edjelyn Joy Gamboa, Angela Fernando, Ria Rabajante and Gail Ventic. Joy had Nicole Cordoves, Kristine Estoque, Sheena Dalo, Jehza Huelar, Niza Limjap, Mariella Castillo, Candy del Castillo, Maria Lina Prongoso, Crescent Samaco and Kimberle Mae Penchon.
The challenge was simple. Whichever group can raise the highest amount of total sales for a prescribed hour (by being the actual sales associates) will win a generous shopping voucher for each member of the best performing team.
Early feedbacks that reached my end stated that the ladies at Farmers Plaza Cubao got the highest so far, but I still need confirmation.
All in all, though, it was an enjoyable, albeit tiring, day for all the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 Official Candidates. 🙂
I am loving the photos of some of the ladies here, particularly Binibini 38 Angelica Alita, Binibini 39 Sissel Ria Rabajante and Binibini 4 Kimberle Mae Penchon.
Let’s see how the final edit will unreel at the Smart Araneta Coliseum! 😉
Binibini 4 Kimberle Mae Penchon: At Gold’s Gym (top) and in Joy Arguil shots during the Talent Competition (three smaller images)
Nowadays, her waking hours are far longer than sleeping on her bed and hugging a favorite pillow. She appreciates whatever small time is left to focus on life at home or quality time with family and friends.
But Kim is not complaining. Not one bit. The days may be long and tiring, but she is keeping up regardless of the lack of sleep and the like.
Here is how she would sum up her daily journals as a Binibini:
“Everyday is a struggle between having fun and being exhausted in Binibini. Exhausted from wearing heels and make up and fun miggling with the girls. For what its worth, joining Bb. Pilipinas is an experience i could never forget. Being outside my comfort zone really tends to bring out my fighting spirit. Everytime i feel down i always think of the things ive done to get to this point then i tell to myself, ive been this far and this is not the time to give up.
Reading messages from supporters also boost my spirit. They always remind me that im not alone in this competition, that they are always with me. I feel really blessed that God gave me these kind of positive people who believes in me. If i could just magically enter the screen of my phone and come out from theirs, i would give each of them a hug. All i could say to all the people believing in me, you guys fuel my spirit.
Binibini 4 is just too happy when I approached her for this blog feature. She wants a medium where she can express how she truly feels grateful for all the support coming her way. And she will keep on fighting till she gets her dream: a Bb. Pilipinas crown.
Dear readers, how is Kimberle Mae Penchon faring on your list? 🙂
Binibini 2 Alexandra Faith Garcia from Olongapo City – the former Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 Top 10 placer and triathlete who is now speeding up in the race to become one of the more popular ladies in the pre-pageant spins.
Binibini 3 Angela Lauren Fernando or make that Dr. Angela Fernando, the unofficial health guardian of the ladies given her medical background and all-around caring nature.
Binibini 4 Kimberle Mae Penchon of La Union who left some unfinished business during last year’s edition and is bent on making up for lost time by proving that she deserves to be called more than one of the 40.
and Binibini 5 Riana Pangindian who is a true-blue Thomasian with the extra flair for fashion shots and a still-untapped singing talent, I was told.
Who catches your fancy in this group, dear readers? 😉
Kimberle Mae Penchon was already an Official Candidate of Bb. Pilipinas 2015 but backed out due to her commitments as Miss Beauche International 2014.
But now that Kimberle has already relinquished her Beauche International crown to Steffy Aberasturi, will she regain the steel nerves to go through the nerve-wracking process all over again and take the risk (it is a marked risk in her case)? Do you, dear readers, think that it is a calculated move if ever? Or will it spell possible disappointment instead?
If Kimberle asks my opinion, I’d say “go for it!” She was already convincing enough last year to make it to the roster. And my hunch is that she has already improved much by now.
I would really love to see this lovely comer from Agoo, La Union give it another try. 🙂
Take note of the schedules above for all NCR and Provincial Applicants of Miss Beauche International 2015
Who knows, this one just might be yours! 🙂
Remember Kimberle Mae Penchon who was an original Official Candidate of Bb. Pilipinas 2015 before she backed out?
But so much for that, the Search for Miss Beauche International 2015 is on. And not one to be belittled by many, the winner will receive a sparkling cash prize of half a million pesos. Any takers? I’m pretty sure a long line of beautiful Filipinas will sign up for this one. It’s a beauty title that can also afford the winner the chance to earn big in the short-term. It’s like beauty entrepreneurship in the works. I just coined that one.
If you’re up to it, then take note of the contact numbers, screening schedules and requirements above. 😉
The Kagandahang Flores entry from the Cordilleras has now withdrawn from the competition. She was offered a business opportunity with Beauche International. And since pursuing the same will give rise to conflicts with being an Official Candidate, she must have decided to go for the income-generating chance which may no longer be available in a couple of months’ time.
Good luck with your decision, Kimberle Mae. It may not be an easy one, but if it will be for the common good of you and your loved ones, then I believe that you did the right thing.
One down. Who will take her place?
