With their respective wins abroad taking place with just two weeks in between, Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa, Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar if India and Miss International 2017 Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia are in the midst of press tour/media guestings.
Demi-Leigh is in the Big Apple where she is spending the week doing the rounds of TV talk shows and radio programs. Manushi and Kevin, on the other hand, are back in their respective countries where a string of media appearances has kept them quite busy.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, there is no use pretending we don’t know what’s really happening. Above is a photo of (left to right) Miss International 2017 Kevin Lilliana, Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco and Miss Grand Indonesia 2017 DEA Rizkita during their KF trainings.
There is mutual respect between Filipino and Indonesian beauty queens so we should not make it an earth-shaking (no pun intended) issue that they trained here. The latter respect our expertise in the pageant industry. And whatever they learned in our shores are not CIA-protected secrets that nobody outside the country knows. From their end, it is a kind of validation of what they already know or what they might know.
Fate also plays a big part in the mix. If they won their respective competitions abroad, then it is in their destiny to claim it.
Of course, there are other “hard-to-classify” factors nobody among us (including KF) are no longer in control of or privy to. And I won’t go discussing about matters I have no factual basis for.
Four of the Bb. Pilipinas 2017 titleholders VS the Puteri Indonesia 2017 crown-wearers
As my last blog post for the month of June (barring any blog-worthy topic that might still make it for the month), I am giving way to this interesting post that should invite most of you to pitch in your say on the matter.
I did use the two-lettered “VS” (versus) to make the title of this post more enticing. However, I am not really into creating a good catfight between two national beauty pageants of the same stature, but just a friendly comparison of the winners who will be fielded in the same competitions abroad.
Since Puteri Indonesia has only four titles – Universe, International, Supranational and Grand International – I opted to not include both Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Katarina Rodriguez and Bb. Pilipinas Globe Nelda Ibe in the mix to strike a balance.
Now instead of me injecting personal judgments right away, I chose to let you – my dear readers – to fill in your inputs first. Now after a few days – and hopefully a substantial number of comments to tally “objective” preferences from – I will put in my running picks in the four (4) matches below:
UNIVERSE: Rachel Peters VS Bunga Jelitha
INTERNATIONAL: Mariel de Leon VS Kevin Lilliana
SUPRANATIONAL: Chanel Olive Thomas VS Karina Nadila
GRAND INTERNATIONAL: Elizabeth Clenci VS Dea Goesti Rizkita
By the way, watching the videos below might help your personal comparisons as well.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
