When Bb. Pilipinas Official FB Page uploaded the group photos of the Binibinis below, many people are stunned with the combinations in each shot. Are these photos prophetic or plain coincidental? You tell me, dear readers.
In groups of 5 and 4 now:

Karen, Vickie, Aya, Eva and Catriona

Michele, Muriel, Ahtisa, Samantha Mae and Sandra

Kayesha, Edjelyn, Jehza, Patrik and Wynonah

Janette, Rosan, Rose, Stephanie and Istie

Samantha A, Angelica, Sarah and Patrizia

Jerelleen, Angelie, MJ and Anjame

Sophia, Juliana, Agatha and KC

Kathrine, Sigrid, Shane, Ena and Janice
Since I have already blogged about the older (24, 25, 26, 27) Binibinis who comprise twenty-seven of the forty (40) contenders in this year’s roster, why don’t we look at the younger minority – the thirteen (13) ladies whose ages range from 19-23 years old.
They are distributed as follows:
19 years-old
#Binibini21 Anjame Magbitang20 year-olds
#Binibini17 Ma Ahtisa Manalo
#Binibini29 Samantha Avestruz21 year-olds
None22 year-olds
#Binibini2 Kathrine Ventura
#Binibini33 Stephanie Joy Abellanida
#Binibini34 Mary Joy de Castro23 year-olds
#Binibini9 Agatha Romero
#Binibini16 Annalita Vizcarra
#Binibini23 Ena Velasco
#Binibini31 Jehza Huelar
#Binibini32 Eva Patalinjug
#Binibini35 Sandra Lemonon
#Binibini37 Patrizia Garcia
Anjame Magbitang is the youngest among the Binibinis this year at age 19. And her youthfulness shows in large bundles, especially to her kababayan like myself who can still see through the child-like innocence in her eyes amidst the bevy of older and more highly-trained opponents. But she can be diligently groomed for a stronger comeback in the years to come. After all, her height of 5’11” is really imposing.
Hence, we look back at the most recent history of Bb. Pilipinas titleholders and Joanna Eden stands out as the youngest when she won the Bb. Pilipinas Supranational crown last 2016 also at age 19.
So we now gaze upon the ladies in older groups. And who do we see as potential choices for the titles at stake based on running performance?
There is Ahtisa Manalo at 20. There are Ena Velasco, Jehza Huelar, Eva Patalinjug, Sandra Lemonon and Patrizia Garcia – all 23. Now who do you think has the greater upper hand among them to zoom up to the second-highest spot in the final tally?
Time for a brand-new discussion, dear readers.
Every year for the past few, the Bb. Pilipinas Official Candidates make their usual visits to Manhattan Garden City, the well—appointed condominium buildings at the Araneta Center developed in cooperation with Megaworld Properties. The Binibinis of 2018 just dropped by the place this week and appreciated the cool digs that can be called #HomeForTheQueens.
Here are some photos of the ladies during the said activity.
Since I have already posted their respective “In the Spotlight” features before the personal interview videos were uploaded by the Bb. Pilipinas Official page on FB, I thought of sharing three (3) of them for you to watch and give comments once more.

“A lot of girls are dreaming of becoming a beauty queen, and it’s the same with my story, it is like fulfilling a childhood dream. I just want to make my parents proud and joining Bb. Pilipinas is one way of showing others how proud I am of how my parents raised me. I am aiming to win the crown because I know I can use this as a platform to share my own story, and it will open me many opportunities that can help me become empowered. Through this, I can also be a medium to empower others. Nothing is more fulfilling than reaching your personal dreams while making your parents proud and motivating others as well.
For this competition, I believe everything starts with your mind and how you see things. With my experiences in life, I learned to always have a positive outlook and envision positive things to happen. I know that despite the busy schedules and the preparations, I can still manage to enjoy the journey and give my best performance all the time.”
