Before anything else, I am letting the cat out of the bag first for those who will ask why Eva Psychee Patalinjug was not included in the send-off being blogged here. For very personal reasons, the beautiful Cebuana respectfully begged off from the appointment for one of the international competitions and was promotly replaced by the reigning Mutya 2nd Runner-Up (
as specified below).
So with that over and clarified, let’s get on with the topic at hand. 🙂
The 4-in-1 (or 4×4 as the organizers described it in their press release) Mutya ng Pilipinas sendoff took place at the Opal Room of Crowne Plaza Manila alongside the formal launch of Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 to various members of the Press.
Leading the pack is Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International 2016 Ganiel Krishnan who will be host delegate for the returning Miss Asia-Pacific International which will have its finals in Sheridan Beach Resort Palawan on November 23.
Amd them there is Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2016 Justine “Jaya” San Jose who will go to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for Miss Tourism International 2016 which will crown its winner on New Year’s Eve.
Third in line is Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2015 Janela Joy Cuaton will finally get her opportunity to shine in the global pageant stage when she is the first to compete as our bet for Miss Tourism Metropolitan International 2016 in Cambodia on November 18. She waited long and hard for this, and her patience is now nicely rewarded.
Lastly, Mutya ng Pilipinas 2016 2nd Runner-Up Ashley Nicole Singh will travel to Shanghai, China for Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2016 scheduled for December 18. This is the competition where our very own Leren Mae Bautista is the reigning titleholder.
The chance landed on Ashley’s lap after Eva Patalinjug decided to pass up on the appointment. And then, 2016 1st Runner-Up Lynette Bradford and Mutya-Overseas Communities Michelle Thorlund are now back in their native Australia and USA respectively and will not be able to go to Shanghai on short notices.
So there! It will be exciting weeks and two months ahead for these four ladies – Ganiel, Jaya, Janela and Ashley – as they vie to bring more honor to the Philippines in their respective competitions. They are now doing last-minute preparations with the gracious help of Mutya ng Pilipinas President Jacqueline Tan-Sainz and VP Mayenne Vijandre.
Best of luck to all of them! 😉
