I know that the forty (40) Designers who created the fabulous National Costumes for the Binibinis of Bb. Pilipinas 2017 toiled on their respective works so it is but fitting that we give credit to each one of them.
Let’s start with Binibinis 1-10 dressed up by Rau Uson-Ablaza, Mak Tumang, Joel Acebuche, Albert Figueras, Julius Ornum, Chico Estiva, Jonti Martinez, Bing Cristobal, ChristLee Marcelino and Erich Miñoza as officially photographed by Raymond Saldaña below.
Dane Felisse Marasigan in Rau Uson-Ablaza
Arienne Calingo in Mak Tumang
Maria Gail Tobes in Joel Acebuche

Maria Benjieleen Nama in Chico Estiva
Jennyline Malpaya in Jonti Martinez
Leitz Camyll Ang in Bing Cristobal

Carla’s 2nd time with Bb. Pilipinas should bear more fruits
Jennyline Carla Malpaya is classified as a 2.0(B) because – prior to becoming Binibini 32 of last year’s edition – she was already an Official Candidate of Miss World Philippines back in 2013 during (Miss World) Megan Young’s time. This former ward of Designer Jonti Martinez (she has now effectively and amicably crossed over to Aces & Queens) is making sure that her second time with our favorite national pageant will leave a more desirable result. I have actually seen her current styling, and there are marked improvements in the way she will be presented to the screening committee come February 27.
I am hoping that Carla will do much better this year because she really does her homework and dutifully internalized all camp trainings she underwent.
Will this be her year of triumph as a Binibini, dear readers? 🙂
