One of these ten beautiful contenders will be proclaimed Miss Philippines Earth 2011 tomorrow night in Puerto Princesa City. Who will it be?
All signs are pointing to a win by Miss Puerto Princesa City, Jonavi Raissa Quiray. She is no stranger to both national and international pageants and the mere fact that she is representing the host city for the finals speaks volumes of her chances in wearing – yet again – the Philippine sash in Miss Earth 2011. Otherwise, I want Miss Fil USA East Coast Brenna Cassandra Gamboa or my kababayan Mary Denisse Toribio of Malolos to win as well.
Who are your choices to make it to the Top 5 Winners’ Circle? 😉
Miss Philippines Earth 2011 Top 10 (L-R): Miss Cebu City, Miss Pagadian City, Miss Cotabato City, Miss Las Pinas City, Miss General Santos City, Miss Fil USA East Coast, Miss Puerto Princesa City, Miss Malolos City, Miss Mun. of Casiguran and Miss Makati City.
And then there were ten. The list started with 50, up until last night’s Cultural Costume Competition and three separate eliminations prior. Miss Philippines-Earth 2011 is now down to the Ten Finalists who will ultimately vie for the crown come pageant night on June 5.
The Final 10 (in random order) are:
Miss Cebu City – Murielle Adrienne Orais
Miss Las Pinas City – Michelle Gavagan
Miss Fil USA East Coast – Brenna Cassandra Gamboa
Miss Puerto Princesa City – Jonavi Raissa Quiray
Miss Cotabato City – Edan Dafilmoto
Miss Pagadian City – Ma. Alicia Elena Ariosa
Miss Malolos City – Mary Denisse Toribio

The last cut is really the cruelest and my heart goes out to the ladies who bid farewell at this juncture when they are way too close to reaching the coronation night. But this is how the 2011 competition has been designed so they really can’t do anything about it except cry over the elimination.
Good luck to the remaining qualifiers and may the best environmental advocate win! 😉
