Sam Ajdani and Andrew Wolff during yesterday’s product launch
During yesterday’s product launch of My Daily Collagen Drink at Solaire Resort & Casino, the presence of both Andrew Wolff and Sam Ajdani (it would have been if John Spainhour was also around) got me into thinking about the possible staging of the next edition of Mr. World Philippines – the future winner of which is expected to banner the country’s representation in UK for 2018.
We all know that Arnold Vegafria (along with General Manager Bessie Besana) is in the midst of finalizing preparations for the formal launch of Miss World Philippines 2017. And knowing that the same individual now holds the Philippine franchise of Mr. World, plans for holding the search for the successor of reigning titleholder Sam Ajdani will follow suit – maybe not soon after, but either very late this year or early next. Mr. World 2018 will definitely happen in the May-June period so our next bet should be chosen a few months before.
So after Andrew Wolff, John Spainhour and Sam Ajdani, who could potentially be next? 🙂
This is an old file photo taken last May 29, 2014 when John Spainhour and Sam Ajdani were announced as Mr World Philippines of two separate years
Nearly two years ago today, or May 29, 2014 to be exact, an event was held inside Glorietta 6 in Makati where Mr World Philippines 2014 was to be selected in front of invited members of the Press. The interesting part was that only two (2) candidates were present to compete for the title – John Spainhour and Sam Ajdani. Both handsome guys are popular choices for the honor. But in the end, the former was formally announced by Ms. Cory Quirino as our representative to Mr. World 2014 which will start in the UK just 24 hours or so after.
Sam Ajdani did not go home empty-handed because he was also named Mr. World Philippines but for 2015 – which was last year and which did not materialize. Everyone was disappointed that his preparations went to waste.
Mr. World 2016 will be held in Southport, UK on July 19
But with Mr. World 2016 finally pushing through in Southport, UK this coming July 19, things are looking up for Sam Ajdani who is still the one recognized as our bet in this – the Search for the World’s Most Desirable Man.

Is Sam ready for the big fight? I sure hope he is. Despite the long wait, the representation is still #ForThePhilippines.

During last weekend’s Mobo X Bench Body: Red Charity Gala 2015 at the Makati Shangri-la Hotel, there were some very familiar faces who walked the runway for a good cause. In these images shot by my photographer-friend Bruce Casanova, you can see the likes of Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago, Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour and Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Finalist Alaiza Malinao. There were also male Supermodels such as Eian Scully, River Viiperi and Kevin Hubsmith.
The annual fashion event, organized by adorable society icon Tessa Prieto Valdes and Kaye Tinga, aims to raise funds for the Philippine Red Cross and Assumption High School Batch 1981 Foundation.
Enjoy the photos now! 😉

Bench Body held an underwear show that highlighted its latest lines, including the Michael Cinco Collection

In this, the latest fashion show of Bench Body (with crisp images from our reliable lens man Bruce Casanova), the popular underwear company unveiled its Michael Cinco Collection alongside the newest designs of its regular line. While this event does not measure up to the big ones staged at the MOA Arena every two years, it still bears watching given the new contours in undergarments that keep the interest of consumers – like myself – always alive and in the mood for buying.
Bench Body endorser Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour helps boost the sales, for sure. But with the name of Michael Cinco attached to some of the inner wearables, there is an added premium. Except for that one with the winged unicorn emblazoned all over the front, I have all his pieces here. 😉

The Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens from Aces & Queens
The Victory Party of Aces & Queens was held at Pedro ‘N Coi, the unique “Pinoy Pop Chibog” restaurant of warm and attentive hosts Lloyd and Shamcey Lee at the 3rd level of Fisher Mall in Quezon City. The honorees were all in attendance – Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015 Christi Lynn McGarry, Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis and 2nd Runner-Up Kimverlyn Suiza.
Also present were beauty queens Venus Raj, Ara Arida, Elaine Moll, Mafae Yunon-Belasco and Valerie Weigmann. In addition, some of the 2015 Binibinis of Aces & Queens were there – Alaiza Malinao, Teresita Ssen Marquez, Justine Felizarta, Neesha Murjani and Kylie Verzosa, plus Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour.
Of course, the night won’t be complete without the people behind Aces & Queens led by Jonas Gaffud, Arnold Mercado, John Cuay, Gerry Diaz, Mark Besana, Atty. Nad Bronce, Caloy Buendia, Pao Oap and Cesar Evangelista.

The two (2) Mr. World Philippines titleholders make headway into our favorite bookstores and newsstands this month as they separately grace the cover of two entirely different magazines.
Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour is in his most dashingly scruffy look in the October-November issue of Illustrado, while Mr. World Philippines 2015 Sam Ajdani makes an all-out buffed and topless assault in the October 2014 edition of Men’s Health Magazine.
If John has already moved on from his Mr. World 2014 experience, Sam is just starting to take in all the scheduled trainings and improvements for his future participation in Mr. World 2015.
The only detail I have yet to hear about is his proposed training with the Philippine Army as announced by Ms. Cory Quirino earlier in the year. Will that crucial exposure ever see the light of day? I really hope so. Otherwise, he will have to go through Andrew Wolff’s hands by default. 😉
Upcoming hottie James Reid before he fell on the mosh pit around the ramp (Photo credit: Bruce Casanova)
Just when the boiling excitement over “The Naked Truth” of Bench was starting to die down, Cosmo Philippines immediately followed up with the annual Cosmo Bachelor Bash titled “Cosmo Tower 69” at the World Trade Center.
A purely male affair, there can really be no direct comparison to the grand event at the MOA Arena. Except for the endless show of flesh, that is. Celebrities like Paulo Avelino, Benjamin Alves, James Reid, Rafael Rosell, Geoff Eigenmann, Pancho Magno, Aljur Abrenica, Markki Stroem, Joseph Marco, John Spainhour, Neil Perez, Diego Furoni, Vince Velasco, LA Aguinaldo, John James Dy and Charles Sutcliffe trooped to the stage in varying stages of undress.
So was the Bash better than the Truth? Not really. But if the “almost-too-close-to-touch” affair was any indication, the lucky viewers at the venue definitely had more exposed ‘cheeks’ to the Naked eye. Check out some of the Bruce Casanova images below. You can see more HERE.

Fil-Brit Adam Davies for Misters of the Philippines 2014
He’s an athlete who does the tracks. He is also a well-educated individual with specializations in Business Management, Accounting and Finance and levels in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. And Adam Rhys Davies has the good looks to come with the whole package as well. What more can you ask for from this guy?
His advocacy? “I want to focus on helping towards the ongoing battle of eradicating poverty in Philippines by working alongside established charities in whatever way possible and I’m especially interested in being able to do some volunteering.”
While he is no Andrew Wolff or John Spainhour in terms of hype and celebrity status, Adam is certain that he can represent the Philippines well internationally, while further exploring his Filipino roots in the process. That is, if he ends up winning one of the titles.

Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour on the July 2014 issue cover of Men's Health Magazine.
Mr. World Philippines 2014 John Spainhour has already returned from Torquay where he represented the country in Mr. World 2014. Somehow, life has returned back to normal. And Men’s Health Magazine took the opportunity to have him on the cover of its July 2014 issue. Looking mighty fine as always.
Grab a copy of this issue from your favorite newstands and bookstores now! 🙂
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
