In a national pageant finals literally marred by the elements, a new Miss Philippines Earth was crowned and she is heavy favorite Jenny Ramp of Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac.
The program started earlier at 10am, but finished five hours after. Strong rains dampened the proceedings at the poolside and courtyard of TAG Resort Coron just after the announcement of the Top 10. And since the set-up was outside, everything had to be relocated inside the resort – hence, the delay.
But with patience, the event was restored with the Top 10 Q&A, Announcement of Final 5 and Q&A and crowning of winners.
Comprising the elemental court are:
Air: Jimema Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental
Water: Angeline Mae Santos of Trece Martirez
Fire: Eryka Vina Tan of Legazpi City
Eco Tourism: Nice Lampad of Bayugan City
Jenny will now be the Philippine representative to Miss Earth 2022 to be held later this year.
The road towards the grand coronation of #MissPhilippinesEarth2022 will take on a hybrid format-producing both virtual and live shows showcasing the country’s breath-taking tourism destinations.
#MissPhilippinesEarth takes on the theme “ME Loves Fauna” to emphasize the importance of caring for animal life.
The Miss Philippines Earth Finals will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the famous tourist destination and enchanted paradise. Hosted by MUNICIPALITY OF CORON, PALAWAN through the leadership of Mayor Marjo Reyes. In cooperation with TAG Resort Coron Palawan.
The much-awaited TV airing will be shown on August 7, 2022 (Sunday) on A2Z CHANNEL 11 at 10AM to 12NN.
From the Top 20 Finalists, I am going straight to the five (5) ladies who are likely to occupy the Final 5 spots in the competition.
My Final 5 for Miss Philippines Earth 2022
Anyone among them can make it to the top, but I feel that the highest title will be a toss between Justiene Ortega of the City of Manila and Jimema Tempra of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. The remaining placements could go to Jenny Ramp of Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac for Water, Nice Lampad of Bayugan City for Fire and Kiara Liane Wellington of Cebu City for Eco-Tourism.
Above is a screenshot from Pageantry Norms Season 7 Episode 4 with my guests – Miss Kuyamis 2022 Annabelle Mae Tate McDonnell and her court – Jimema Tempra, Vanessa Atienza Dulay, Nycee Lampad and Vea Bautista.
The internet connection was unstable for two of them, but were still able to participate. Watch out for them in the different national pageants this 2022!
Miss Kuyamis 2022 Annabelle McDonnell who will hopefully take part in Miss Universe Philippines 2022
First Runner Up Jimena Tempra who may possibly be sent to Binibining Pilipinas 2022
2nd Runner Up Vanessa Dulay who just might be a fit for Mutya Pilipinas
3rd Runner Up Nice Lampad who I suggested for Miss World Philippines 2022
4th Runner Up Natazha Vea Bautista who might go for Miss Philippines Earth just like her older sister Nellza Bautista a few years back.

In this entry are some official photos from the Miss Kuyamis 2022 Swimsuit Competition held yesterday at Amaya View.
Congratulations to a successful pre-pageant event. Miss Kuyamis is clearly one of the most well-organized provincial pageants in the Philippines. And kudos to Jimema Tempra of Jasaan (left photo) for being declared #BestInSwimsuit.
The presence of Misamis Oriental Governor Bambi Emano made everything more special, just as the esteemed panel of judges that included Miss Intercontinental Cindy Obeñita, Binibini Araneta City Francesca Taruc, former Mr International Philippines Gil Wagas, Designer Odelon Simpao and PCOL Ranel Valones of the Misamis Oriental PPO.
Aside from the reigning titleholder Dannah Tempra, four of the former winners were also in attendance – Chella Falconer, Isobel Teano, Ana Monica Tan and Berjayneth Chee – all placers in their respective national pageants. Provincial Tourism Officer Atty Jeffrey Saclot was around to make sure that the entire proceedings went as smoothly as possible.
Looking forward to the official swimsuit photos of the ladies, as well as the Finals on January 13 which will be hosted by actor Marco Gumabao.
Given the impressive showing of Misamis Oriental beauties in both the national and international levels of pageantry this year, the roster of candidates for Miss Kuyamis 2022 has definitely leveled up very nicely.
After all, they have big shoes to fill, such as those of:
Miss Intercontinental and Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2021 Cindy Obeñita
Miss Philippines Earth 2021 Runner-Up and Top 10 placer Katheryn Tan Guipetacio
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Top 16 finisher Chella Grace Falconer
Miss World Philippines 2021 Top 24 and Sports Challenge winner Dannah Joy R. Tempra
Here now are my early favorites for the competition:

#Villanueva – Natazha Vea Bautista (younger sister of Miss Philippines Fire 2017 Nellza Bautista)
#Jasaan – Jimema Tempra (younger sister of the reigning Miss Kuyamis Dannah Tempra)
