Every year for the past few, the Bb. Pilipinas Official Candidates make their usual visits to Manhattan Garden City, the well—appointed condominium buildings at the Araneta Center developed in cooperation with Megaworld Properties. The Binibinis of 2018 just dropped by the place this week and appreciated the cool digs that can be called #HomeForTheQueens.
Here are some photos of the ladies during the said activity.
The Binibinis visited Dale Carnegie Training – Philippines yesterday as part of their Sponsors’ Tour.
The eventual titleholders for 2018 (including the two runners-up) will definitely be guided by this center in improving their Communication and Public Relations skills for their missions abroad.
Who could be the ones among them to get full Dale Carnegie immersion by April?
Independents are no longer categorized as mere outsiders looking in, inspite of the strong presence of both Aces & Queens (AQ) and Kagandahang Flores (KF). Truth be told, they are slowly being considered as the third force to reckon with because there is also a distinct plus about not being beholden to one of the two. But more about that in a future entry.
Introducing your Binibini 12 Janette Roanne Lising Sturm, a 26 Year-old Filipina-Dutch born in Vlissingen, Netherlands but raised in General Santos City. She graduated Cum Laude from Ateneo de Davao University with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. Pageant-wise, she was Ms. Socsargen 2012, Ms. Silka Central Mindanao 2013, Ms. Silka Philippines 2013 – Top 10, Reyna ng Aliwan General Santos 2013, Ms. Sophie Davao 2014, Ms. World Philippines 2015 Finalist, Ms. Manila 2016 Finalist, Ms. China-ASEAN Philippines 2017 and Ms. China-ASEAN 2017 – Best Image Award. Whew! That’s already a lot of credentials.
Additionally, she is a Church Volunteer and an advocate for Children’s Rights and Welfare. She was involved in various outreach programs, specifically for children/orphans with cleft palate.
“I have always wanted a cause to live for. I believe that being a Binibini would give me a bigger platform for the advocacies I started 2 years ago – to help and increase awareness on children empowerment…
…if I win a crown, I believe that my influence will expand and my voice towards my cause will be amplified, not just locally but globally.
In that way, we could give them the right amount of support in all areas of their lives that need development.
I consider Bb. Pilipinas as a bigger platform and I believe that bigger platform would mean a greater impact.”
The name is Janette Roanne Sturm, 24 years of age, and General Santos City’s representative in Miss World Philippines 2015. She is with Aces & Queens.
Janette, who is half-Dutch, is a Mass Communications graduate of Ateneo de Davao University – cum laude at that. She dabbles in fashion modeling and entrepreneurship for ‘To Die For Swimwear’. She is also a voice talent aside from being a photography buff.
This 5’7″ beauty is ready for the demands of the competition. And she promises to give it her best fight. 😉
