I don’t collect perfumes or EDTs or colognes, but I sure love buying a lot and using them. Rarely do I buy the same item twice because once I finish a bottle, I would usually look for something new or something nose-friendlier than the last. Gone are the days when I would stick to popular men’s scents that ended up being patronized by so many consumers, thereby, losing its luster in my eyes. For the past two years now, I’ve switched to unisex variants that are versatile. Good examples would be Acca Kappa White (or Blanc) and Clean. Among the designer-branded fragrances, the only ones remaining on my list are Burberry Summer and Gucci by Gucci (the one modeled by actor James Franco).
Earlier this year, I discovered Wright Supply Co. while gift-hunting for my mom’s birthday present. I was actually in the Legaspi Village area for a client call and strolled along Rada St. I saw this old building – Alvion Centre – which had a very green boutique in the ground floor named “Trilogy“. They had a lot of stuff for sale – clothes, shoes, slip-ons, bags, books, etc – but it was Wright that really caught my fancy.
Wright Supply Co. – proudly Philippine-made – has 12 scents: Liel (uplifting), Yturi (commands presence), Disen (flirts with intrigue), Okalo (spirited), Iari (fresh and light), Asovr (rouses), Eriys (playful), Citor (awake), Orqua (relaxed), Amosa (candy), Itheru (clean) and Esstin (zesty). The catch adjectives/phrases attached to each are meant to give you a basic idea of their individual smells, although it’s still best to get a whiff of a few by visiting their store.
From among the dozen variants of Wright Supply Co., my two favorites are:
Between the two, I am more partial to IARI because it makes me smell fresh and cool all over. This is the main reason why it has become a bestseller. And before you jump into saying that this line is expensive, think again. A 100 ml. bottle costs only PhP800.00. Not bad. Not bad at all.
If you want to know more about Wright Supply Co., you can visit their website or if you’re in the Makati area, drop by the one-and-only Trilogy Boutique at the Alvion Centre on Rada St., Legaspi Village with telephone number (02) 328-1071.
