It won’t be long till Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo flies to Fort Lauderdale before heading to the host city and venue of the 69th Miss Universe.
The “bubble” awaits!
In the meantime, let’s give her time to enjoy the remaining days in Los Angeles. According to my reliable source, she (along with the team) will take the red-eye Delta flight (22:00 hrs) from LAX that will arrive in FLL around 5:30am (ET) of Monday, April 19.
The winners of Miss Grand International 2020 led by Abena Appiah have been thoroughly enjoying #AmazingThailand at a most leisurely pace. But soon, they will each move on with their lives and look back at the wonderful memories of the time spent together.
Here are photos taken at Banana Beach, Coral Island, Koh Hey, Phuket.
I never imagined I would be blogging this, but Nawatt Itsaragrisil and his pageant has now set a benchmark on how to properly host an international competition amidst the global pandemic. And to actually have all five winners touring Thailand for almost two weeks after the finals is just icing on the cake.
The 14-day quarantine upon arrival should be mandatory. But the most important detail is that the host country and its government is also effective in keeping the COVID virus from spreading.
MUO should be observing their movements more closely before the 69th Miss Universe delegates start arriving in Hollywood, Florida next month.
“Hollywood is a city in southern Broward County, Florida, United States, located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The average temperature is between 68 and 83 °F (20 and 28 °C). As of July 1, 2019, Hollywood had a population of 154,817. Founded in 1925, the city grew rapidly in the 1950s and 1960s, and is now the 12th-largest city in Florida…”
Soon, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo will go to the place nicknamed “the diamond of the gold coast” for the 69th Miss Universe.

The new 7,000-person capacity Hard Rock Live opened its doors to sellout crowds and standing ovations. Primed as the epicenter of South Florida entertainment, the new venue hosts state-of-the art technical capabilities that supports A-list celebrity performances as well as award shows, sporting events and nationally televised programs. Acoustically pure with unobstructed sight-lines, the venue is a stand-out option for entertainers and tours across the country as well as drawing internationally acclaimed acts.
This is where the 69th Miss Universe will be staged on May 16 – the Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The venue may be able to accomodate 7,000 people, but seating capacity will be significantly limited on Finals night to meet the Health and Safety Protocols for a public event. Even media opportunities are nowhere in sight as it will all be virtual for those who want to cover the same.
The actual stage will differ from the picture posted in this entry, but I’m pretty sure the production team will put on a unique show.
And now it’s confirmed.
The 69th Miss Universe will take place in Hollywood, Florida, U.S.A. on May 16 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
While no official announcement has been made by the Miss Universe Organization to date, the talks have already spread like wildfire in the global pageant community that the 69th Miss Universe will be hosted in Hollywood, Florida at the Seminole Hard Rock Café on May 16, 2021.
According to early reports, the Preliminaries will be held May 13 with the all-important Preliminary Interviews conducted via Zoom even before the candidates depart for the US.
