Tomorrow at the B Hotel in Quezon City, the Final Screening of Miss World Philippines 2016 will be underway. So I am encouraging the beautiful Filipinas out there to sign up and relish the experience of taking part in a national beauty pageant that will seek our representative to the next Miss World happening in Washington DC, USA just shortly before Christmas this year (or December 20 to be exact).
We all know by now that there were only eight (8) joiners during the General Screening so I hope that the other camps and talent handlers will field in their entries. It really doesn’t help our pageant industry to have major providers skipping on this particular search because there needs to be unity, regardless of the reason/s.
So see you at the Final Screening! 🙂
Pia, Hillarie, Christi and Leren will start their big fights one after another (Art layout: Pao Oap)
In just hours from now, the big fight of the four Queens will begin in different parts of the world. And it would be interesting to add that all of them have been trained and polished by Aces & Queens for their respective competitions.
First stop is Magdeburg, Germany where Christi Lynn McGarry will vie to become the very first Miss Intercontinental winner of the Philippines. A lot is at stake for our statuesque representative because this is her second time joining the same pageant. And based on my following of the pre-pageant proceedings, our bet has a strong chance of making it. The ball is round, of course. But Miss Philippines is truly a regal presence amidst the roster of candidates this year.
Next in line is Sanya, China where another Miss Philippines – Hillarie Danielle Parungao – will fight for the honor of becoming the 2nd Miss World victor of the country. This one is a much more difficult challenge considering the number of delegates (114) and the host country that has never really been a big fan of our bets to reach the top. But I trust our entry to give it her absolute best. Entering the finals as an underdog could prove beneficial in a way. The mission is strong, but the pressure is just right. I’d really like to see Hil place prominently well.
3rd is the most important venue – Las Vegas, Nevada, USA – where the 64th Miss Universe (or Miss Universe 2015 if you will) is taking place. This is the one solid beauty pageant the whole Philippines would really like to snatch. It’s long overdue, and our Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is shining bright like a diamond in spite of the headstrong competitors circling her like a school of sharks ready to gang up on one goldfish. Our Queen is game, so much so that she has pledged to bring back the best Christmas for all Filipinos – the DIC Crown.
Last but not the least, Putrajaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will be the setting for the finals of Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2015 where Mutya ng Pilipinas 2015 Leren Mae Bautista will attempt to end 2015 on a note higher than the Petronas Towers. Our track record of pageant winnings in this country has been nothing short of amazing. And while some of you pageant fans have not really been convinced of the prestige the title brings, please keep in mind that a win will always be an achievement where our delegate poured her heart and soul into the fight.
#ForThePhilippines all the way, Pia, Hillarie, Christi and Leren! 😉

You’ve waited long enough for this. Miss Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao and her Beauty With A Purpose Project for Miss World 2015. This is the most significant component of the competition, and one where the eventual winner will earn a lot of points to propel her straight to the Top 10 come Saturday night’s finals at the Crown of Beauty Theater in Sanya.
Let us now watch the essence of Hillarie’s participation in the pageant and her meaningful fight against child mortality via her Katuwang Project. The final cut is very well-made, I must say.

Miss Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao doing Dances of the World
During the upcoming finals of Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China this coming Saturday, December 19, the Dances of the World segment will feature select candidates who will perform a traditional dance in front of a worldwide audience. And in this group (two groups, actually
), Miss Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao will be part of the smaller ensemble to display a short routine of the ‘planting rice’ movements alongside the more indigenous sways of her fellow handpicked candidates.
Watch out for her turn onstage. It should be nice to see her short solo. It would be a lot nicer, though, if she will gradually climb the ladder during eliminations from Top 25 to Top 5. 🙂
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Hillarie Danielle Parungao are bringing out the best in Miss Philippines in the two biggest beauty pageants ever.
In simultaneous fashion, Miss Universe 2015 and Miss World 2015 are happening in different parts of the globe with much excitement and drama. While the pre-pageant activities are designed to be far apart in terms of thrusts, everything still boils down to one important thing – that we, as Filipinos, support our two entries with much fervor and unconditional trust.
Miss Universe Philippines 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach and Miss World Philippines 2015 Hillarie Danielle Parungao are giving their best in Las Vegas and Sanya, respectively. And if you feel that one is outshadowing the other in terms of worldwide attention, then it shouldn’t put us in a situation where the more popular pageant be in the driver’s seat all the time.
Let us not forget to shower both Pia and Hillarie the keen interest and following because they are not there for purely personal gains. They are doing it #ForThePhilippines. And whatever achievement they can max out for the country is something that we will celebrate as one nation.
One for the Universe and the World! 🙂

The Miss World 2015 Contestant Profiles have been up for days now. You can get a more fresh update on the ladies competing for the blue crown on top of Rolene Strauss’ head. And in the 30-seconders, you will see how our representative encapsulated the more important things about herself.

Miss Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao (leftmost, half-kneeling) with the other members of the Red Team
The eliminations for the Miss World 2015 Sports Challenge took place yesterday and the One hundred fourteen (114) candidates were divided into four (4) teams. The top six (6) from every team advanced to the finals which will happen later in the day.
Miss Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao was part of the Red Team. While she was not fortunate enough to make it to the six highest performers in her group after the gruelling bleep test, she happily cheered for her mates, especially Miss Namibia who topped theirs.
The twenty-four finalists will vie for the Sports Challenge win today to determine who will get the fast-track to the Semifinals on December 19. 🙂
