The six (6) ladies above screened for Bb. Pilipinas 2014, with near-but-not-quite success.
What is the common denominator among the six (6) ladies above? Simple. They all screened for Bb. Pilipinas 2014, got eliminated in different stages and tried their luck in Miss Philippines Earth 2014. They are now green-lighted as Earth Warriors. For one of them – Diane Querrer – she was disqualified within 24 hours from announcement of Official Candidates after her height was measured to fall below the minimum limit. This is her 2nd attempt in the environment-focused tilt.
As for Janelle Tee and Mary Laverlyn Naluz, they made it to Top 60 but failed to advance to Top 40.
On the other hand, Hannah Caayon, Trixie Hipolito and Rosebel Bastasa reached the Top 74 but got cut on the way to Top 60.
This time around, they all made it to the list of fifty (50) Official Candidates.
Diane, Hannah, Janelle, Laverlyn, Trixie and Rosebel are now representing Tanauan City, Mandaue City, Davao City, Las Pinas City, Kidapawan City and Jose Dalman in Zamboanga del Norte, respectively.
Good luck, ladies! May what you did not achieve in Bb. Pilipinas 2014 be realized in Miss Philippines Earth 2014. 🙂
The three Hannahs of Bb. Pilipinas 2014
There would have been four (4) had Hannah Marie Caayon made it to the Top 40, but as the final screenings yielded the Official Candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2014, three (3) were left in the thick of the fight. Three Hannahs, that is. One from Aces & Queens. One from Kagandahang Flores. One from Team Saimak (Isabelanons).
And the individual personalities of the three Hannahs couldn’t be more distinct. Hannah Mariz is the brainy techie-girl-next-door whose undeniably good looks were only discovered after the beauty camp made and dressed her up. Hannah Ruth is the Multimedia Arts instructor whose creative eye and hands are only preceded by her beautiful face and sexy figure. Hannah Sheena is the coy rural lass who was plucked out of anonymity and polished for the nationals.
There’s no doubt that the trio is deserving of their slots in the beauty competition. But who will eventually zoom to the undivided attention of the judges? One of the two first-timers or the repeater? 😉

Some of you might ask what a Junior Support Analyst at NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) Euronext is doing in a beauty pageant. Well, it’s actually quite simple. The girl wants to give beauty pageants a try. With her good height of 5’8″, sharp mind and sexy figure, she can always let FOREX trading take the backseat for now.
And the girl can speak (actually, all of A&Q’s bets are good communicators ranging from credible to downright articulate). This Management Accounting graduate of Cebu City’s University of San Carlos was also a Philippine Science High School alumna. Bright beauty alright. Her ultimate acid test, though, is if she can turn her strengths into plus points during the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 screenings.
Will she make it? 😉
