Finally, Miss Grand Philippines 2014 has been crowned during the live finals at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center just hours earlier. And just as I predicted, she is Kimberly Karlsson from Oriental Mindoro, the girl who defeated eighteen (18) other competitors on her way to claiming the right to represent the country in Miss Grand International 2014 happening in Bangkok on October 7.
First Runner-Up is Rosevemme Fajardo of Surigao del Sur and Second Runner-Up Mary Theresa Erna Gomez of Tarlac – my #2 and #3 forecasts as well.
Miss Grand International 2013 Janelee Chaparro assisted in crowning the winner, together with Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil and Miss Grand Philippines 2013 Ali Forbes. By the way, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2000 Nina Ricci Alagao hosted the pageant.

Big congratulations to John dela Vega for a successful inaugural search!

And the VIP guests of Miss Grand Philippines 2014 have safely arrived last night at the NAIA Terminal 2. Miss Grand International Head and Owner Nawat Itsaragrisil (who will serve as one of the judges tonight
) and Miss Grand International 2013 Janelee Chaparro (who will help crown the winner
) were met at the airport by John dela Vega and were promptly whisked to a hosted dinner at Akira in Alphaland Place. By the way, the winners of Miss Grand Thailand 2014 plus Miss Universe Myanmar 2014 – who will start their 10-day pageant training on Sunday – were also accounted for.
Sawadee khap! Enjoy your stay in the Philippines! 😀

Earlier in the day, the Official Candidates of Miss Grand Philippines 2014 had a live guesting in GMA-7’s popular noontime program “Eat Bulaga
” where they had a fun time bonding with the show’s resident child star Ryzza Mae Dizon and the other hosts. And if that’s not enough, they will have another TV appearance in the network’s variety late-nighter “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman
“. Starting next week, all of them will be busy with Monday’s preliminaries at Emar Suites Events Place followed by rehearsals for Saturday’s finals night at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center.
Good luck, girls! 😀
On August 16, this is where the inaugural search for Miss Grand Philippines 2014 will culminate.
John de la Vega wanted a pageant venue that gave the best balance of space (size), control and relative intimacy for the finals night of the inaugural search for Miss Grand Philippines 2014. And he found everything that he needed at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center inside the UP Diliman campus. While the auditorium can only seat a maximum of five hundred (500) guests, it was enough to make the culminating event grand enough without spending an arm and a leg in logistics that could shoot expenses beyond budget.

Keep up the good work in covering all bases and insuring the success of Miss Grand Philippines 2014, JDV! 😉
