Happy Chinese New Year to one and all!
Gong Xi Fa Cai, dear readers!
Happy Chinese New Year!
You know me. I can’t post this topic without a connection to pageants. So let’s see who among the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Official Candidates have animal signs that are considered the luckiest (or otherwise) this year.
2015 is a benmingnian (zodiac year corresponding to one’s birth year) for people born in a year of the goat. In Chinese culture, a year of one’s birth sign is unlucky.
1991 is the most logical target birthdate for one of the contenders this year. So could it be that those turning 24 in 2015 be less fortunate? It doesn’t need to be just pageant-related. It could even be affiliated with love or finances. And based on their ages on the Bb. Pilipinas website, those listed as 23 are likely to turn a year older within the coming months till January 2016 perhaps. Upon checking, they are Binibinis 4, 7, 12 and 20.
…those born in the Year of the Rat will be the “luckiest” among the 12 animal signs. – Hanz Cua, Feng Shui Expert
1996 is the year of birth we are looking here. We have two 19 year-old Binibinis but I’m not sure if they were born on the aforesaid Rat year, or 1995 instead. But if they just turned 19 and are veritable ‘Rats’ among the animal signs, then 2015 could spell nicely for Janicel Lubina and Crissa Marie Mendiola.
Now, please don’t take all these fortune indicators to heart just yet. I know that nothing beats hard work and determination. And even the ones being predicted as looking at a bad year ahead can always turn things around and attract positivity to their favor.
For now, let’s just enjoy the non-working day, have tikoy for breakfast and take in the sweet air of February 19 with a smile and an engaging outlook. 🙂
Gong Xi Fa Cai to you, dear readers!
What good luck will the Year of the Horse bring to our beauty queens this year? Will they kick ass and gallop from one victory to another once more?
I am hoping that our national winners will have the best fortune possible so that they will continue to bring honor and pride to the Philippines.
So do I expect a quick analysis from Dexter, our regular, on which girls (according to the Chinese horoscope) should take it all to insure a winning 2014? 😉
P.S. Your blogger’s photo above was taken in the open area of I-Square in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui in Hong Kong’s Kowloon side where he spent a working day (yes, in at 9AM, out with the red eye back to Manila) meeting with an important client. 😉
Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Lunar New Year!
Today starts the Year of the Water Dragon. And since your blogger is a Dragon himself, a feeling of optimism can’t be helped. But not overly so. I’m just hoping for a 12-month period that would be significantly better than 2011.
And to invite the best of luck, wearing red, pink and orange should help. As early as last November, I started buying shirts (and underwears) in these colors. Nothing to lose in doing so – just additional fillings for my already bursting closet.
Anyways, I am looking forward to another amazing year for Filipinas (and Asians) in the global pageant arena. This could be the time we all have been waiting for. 😉
It doesn’t happen very often that two special occasions take place on a single day. In our modern world where technological advancements have overtaken life’s basics, it’s nice to highlight two important values that give underlying foundations to everyone’s existence – love and fortune. Who doesn’t want to have the best of both worlds – an inspiring love life and loads of good luck?
To everyone observing the Year of the Metal Tiger….Gong Xi Fa Cai! May you have an abundance of wealth in any shape and size and may you be reciprocal in wishing others (including your blogger) the same!
To every couple – straight or gay – celebrating the day of hearts….don’t be stingy! If you can’t give material gifts that would make your partner blush in happiness, make sure that you make up for it with the intangible qualities of love that give any relationship the kind of renewed excitement and passion it always needs.
To all my dear readers and the VIPs in my life…
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!
